NO...It is a Central Nervous System stimulant, similar to drugs like fen/phen that are used as diet drugs.

If anything, it would worsen bleeding, not prevent it.

It is a class one narcotic.  Four tracks in North America have seen positives in the past two years.  Scioto, Northfield, Meadows and Pocono's.  No other tracks.  None in t-breds.

Your thoughts Dailey?

Oh and there is another.  Appealed tonight out of Scioto.

It will be in next weeks USTA rulings.  A trainer with a small stable.  That is all I am comfortable with saying.

The Aminorex test was based out of research in Ohio a few years ago. Steve Zaper confirmed this to me a few weeks ago when we discussed VARIOUS individuals in the areas you mentioned Amy.

One of the BIG problems I have is why commissions will not communicate with other commissions.

Especially the HIGH and "UN"MIGHTY NJRC. You listening NJ Grin Grin Grin. DOH!

They communicate all the time. That is why ARCI exists.

I would think someone would start to communicate with a federal agency to find out how this narcotic is still floating around a tight area of horse racing.

Do you ever post good news about this fine sport or just the bad?

Amy:    Please don't challenge the ESTEEMED, the ALMIGHTY, GOOF NJ.

He doesn't like it when "HIS" world of CHUMPIONSHIP harness racing is challenged.

I do appreciate your kind words. Thank you - THE DD

Obviously you are selective in what you read or what you remember.

I posted some thoughts on this subject a couple of weeks ago. You probably weren't around when the "FINE SPORT" was actually a "FINE SPORT".

I didn't create the "SPORTS" issues. The Juicers DID. The COMMISSIONS that didn't act DID. The LACK of LEADERSHIP at the USTA DID when they rewrote their by-laws. The Paper Trainers / Owners DID.

Message or Messenger. You pick.

Who's to say they haven't? Investigations take time.

Funny, I didn't see anything she wrote that either "challenged" me, or were "kind words" for you. Although...I would guess you would consider asking you for your thoughts to be "kind words" since it would be the first time in the history of this forum that anyone asked you for your thoughts.

I'm not challenging.  I am asking.  I think these positives have been taken lightly for too long.

So now that it's Friday do we get an answer to the question?

This is NO DOUBT a BIG performance booster. The problem is 2 fold.

1. All testing should be done at 1 or 2 centralized labs with a confirmation lab in the wings. Not all labs have the same capabilities in testing. And the "LOAD" trainers know this also.

2. And most of all the UNIFORMITY in what is tested with WELL DEFINED LIMITS.

This PED seems to prevalent in the midwest. But then again, you can't assume that if that state doesn't test for it or have the capability to test for it.
