The Tony on hold story I stand by as well as Monique asking for a DE license.  Lucky One says one has nothing to do with the other, I say Huh  As I said on the other thread, Tony is green-lighted to race on Wednesday in any race he's listed.  The "situation" that existed is resolved.  TC

Monique didn't ask for a license she GOT HER license as well as the groom she took down there with her.

Sounds Brutal to me!!! you can go there if you drive but you only train you are not allowed to go race there??? Thats not right, they are denieing trainers a living but giving a free invitation for drivers to come control races!!! NO WAY!!!
They need to make a certain % of the races for  Del. owned horses if they want to do that but not all of them NO WAY!!!!

TC:
Yes, the following is inaccurate:
"This mainly is attributed to their "closed shop" policy, but also is a clear statement that they don't want "puppeteering" committed on their grounds by newcomers. "

It is not just "mainly" due to the closed shop policy, it is 100% due to the closed shop policy, and they treat everyone the same, period. You want to know how serious they are about it? One horseman was actually convicted of criminal charges for falsifying Delaware residency.
NJ, I hate this forum because too much time is spent going around in circles.  Tony is welcome in Dover as a driver.  He was told not to bring horses as a trainer or owner - that that is not what they are looking for.  I don't know if they will change their stance on that after a period, you would know better than I for sure.  Dover will not let Tony (or maybe anyone) come in and set up fake beard trainers so guys like Tony can do "business as usual".  THIS IS HOW TONY DID BUSINESS HERE.  I hope that clears up things.  TC

It's easy to get a license. I had a Delaware license. However, the track wouldn't take my horses, so the license was useless Cry

So should this same laywer sue every track for having races for state-bred or owned horses only?

Are we living in the United States here or are we living in some country run by a Dictator? This closed door policy sounds like bullshit to me. Who do they think they are discriminating against who can race and who can't? You should be able to race a horse anywhere in this country as long as you are an American citizen and hold a license.

Is Delaware in the US or is it a whole different country? The people in that state need a wakeup call that this is the US. They are running that state like a Dictatorship telling people who is and who isn't allowed to race. I'm writing a letter to the President and telling him this is bullshit and this is a free country with liberty and justice for all.

They need to get their ass sued by some sharp Lawyer for discriminating against people who don't reside in that rotten state. They can shove their slots up their ass as far as I'm concerened. I'lll never bet on a race coming from that state ever again because they are a bunch of "COMMUNISTS."  PERIOD !!!!!

Baron, are you taking Viagra now that the brown and white is coming to your neck of the woods ? LOL  Enjoy Tony, he's the best !  I can't wait until he pulls that mortal lock at 3/5, busts, and runs your hard-earned cash over.  Then you'll see why they call him "The Captain" (of the Titanic no doubt). Yes he should!!!! ONLY is the keyword. Some races are OK but to discriminate against the horseman of this country if Communist. This is a free country and your little state is a part of it if you haven't heard. This COSED door policy is bullshit. Someone should close the door right in the faces of those who are running the show there. I can't believe the USTA doesn't step in and say , hey horses can race anywhere in this country where they conduct harness racing. Overnight shipins should be allowed to race at any track. PERIOD.

I urge ALL bettors from outside of DE to boycott betting on Dover races since they are acting like a Dictatorship and discriminating against horseman outside of their state that they think is a seperate country then this wonderful USA where we have freedom to move around.

This is to keep the Delaware money benefitting Delaware owners and horsemen.  This isn't a ridiculous idea whatsoever, and there's many other tracks that horsemen can race.

While I don't personally agree with such a closed circuit, it's more than fair if that's how they wish to "apportion" the slot revenues.

Best,
EW

Their policies suck. This is America not Cuba. Should outsiders who are not residents of Nevada not be allowed to open up a business here because they want only residents to benefit from the casinos and the taxes they pay? Should Vegas have a closed door policy to outsiders trying to benefit from it's growth. This is America my friend.

I will never bet a race from DE again. I don't consider that state a part of this country. I'm writing a letter to the White house and making them aware of thier discrimination against outsiders. I hope some smart lawyer sues the state for not allowing non-residents to particapat.

"F" Delaware, it's the bush leagues.  Let Tony and  Monique go there.  We'll be rid of some of the roadblocks in our racing scene.  Who will Widger block for now ?  Will food stamp vouchers be arriving at casas Arnold, Grevegoed, Scholz, etc. ?  No, but their ballroom days are over to be sure.  Let's see who steps into those tassled loafers or dirty gym shoes and fills the huge void.  I may even rekindle my love for the product.  TC

The USTA? Since when has the USTA governed anything regarding tracks? Since when did they have juridiction over anything?

I hate to break the news to you, but aren't some of Chicago's biggest races for Illinois-breds only?

I think a lawyer should file a class action suit against Balmoral on behalf of all non-Illinois bred horses. Bastards..

My one piece of advice to you would be to use spell check on your letter to the President.

Because TM is up to his little games. Watch out Dover the master is at work. He will soon be in control of your track. He's way sharper then you guys could ever imagine. Just sit back and see what's going to happen to your little closed policy now that you let the brown and white maggot enter.

You're bordering on Northville purses LOL.. And Dover is bush league LOLOLOL

Baron,

I'm afraid he doesn't know what spellcheck is.
He claimed to have sent an email to Phil Langley demanding stalls for 2006.
When I asked him to share the email, he claimed he doesn't know how to link it to the forum.

It's none of your *** business what I e-mail to Langley. Go e-mail your brother Wendt. And should I go back and show you where you misspelled words in some of your posts you dumb ***?

And Baron, your state sucks and it shouldn't be considered part of this country since they want to dictate who is allowed and who isn't. Don't worry I know how to spell and I'll make it clear when I write the White House asking them to investigate your state for discrimination.

***, about the only word you consistently spell seems to be the word "***".
Shows what kind of class you have.

By the way ***, the fourth icon from the left with two arrows around an envelope is for inserting email.
Let's see it.( The famous *** to Langley email)
If you don't show it to us, that will prove that you are a simple liar.
We're waiting.
Remember what you always say, "the ***'s always tell the truth".

Well Mr ***, buy an economy pack of pens because you are going to have to write all the country clubs that do not allow blacks or women, all the male, female, and black only colleges that do not allow men, women or non blacks, and shit, while you're writing the president, sue his office for not allowing anyone under 35 to run for president..
