They aren't all bad there. There are some good ones there. Who do you consider to be the worst driver at Prairie Meadows? Who do you consider the best?
The drivers colony at Prairie Meadows is EXTREMELY amateurish,as you might expect at a track that only races a month each year and is several hundred miles away from other tracks and gives considerable preference to Iowa owned and bred horses.
It's a good place for young drivers to get experience and geriatric drivers to relive their youth. And a good place to race horses you're stuck with.Or Iowa breds. It's a whole lot like a county fair that races for a month!
I'm guessing it would be a good place to bet EXCEPT for the microscopic pools. The purses are bigger than the pools SO it almost has to be honest and the people in the grandstand mostly can't even read the program. But you can't bet more than $5 w/o ruining your odds.
At any rate,I only watch once in a while out of curiosity so I don't really know which drivers are better;all I know is horses and drivers who are buried anywhere else win at Prairie Meadows.
