Moderator/Janine/tonymfan/dood, or whoever you are I think you should look into this Mr. Tall person and ban him from this forum. Banning him would be in your best interest.

Unlike Mr.Tall I can post valuable information I receive about Chicago Harness racing form my friend Scotty Nance and his brother Danny. I also can keep your viewers up to date with interesting Las Vegas news like the Gaming Control Board considering cash rebates for horse players.

In my short time posting here it is obvious to me Mr. Tall is only here to try and cause trouble. Mr. Tall doesn't even know me but yet he made a threat to me that he will dismember my body when I visit my friend Scotty Nance in Chicago. I didn't think you allowed people to threaten someone on this website.

But it's okay for Nance to continually make threats?
You couldn't fight your way out of a paper bag blowhard!!!!!!!!!
You miss this forum so much, you have to post under phony names after you've said "this is my last post ever on btw" at least 10 times.
Don't try to save face now.
Everyone knew you were an idiot well before that.

The USTA statistical department says that both of you goofs were'nt too successful as trainers.
Are they liars too?
See ya goof!

If you keep running your mouth about my friend Scotty Nance like you do you'll be trying to remove my size eleven shoe from the inside of your ass.

Danny Nance tells me you live in East Chicago Indiana. I'm planning on coming to Chicago in a few weeks to visit Scotty. If you have a problem with either of them just let Neil the card and horse player from the Bellagio know and I'll be glad to drive to East Chicago and discuss it over dinner.

Before you leave the forum you might want to consider removing me also.

After reading many posts the last couples of days I have to agree with what Danny Nance told me at the contest the other day. He told me that it's only a matter of time before this website folds up.

Neil- for someone who doesnt like to see people threatened, I'd say the first sentence in this post of yours is a threat. All of this in the same thread, nonetheless.

I believe you are the only liar here Mr. Burton. I have been to Danny Nance's home and have seen all the win pictures of Scotty and Danny's horses from the 1980'S and the 1990'S. Danny has at least seven albums of pictures that total in the hundreds.

Mr. Burton, you must be very jealous of Scotty and Danny Nance because they were great trainers for many years in Chicago. I also believe you are very jealous along with alot of other people that their mother won the lottery.

You can go ahead and believe whatever you want. Just because you don't post under your real name don't accuse me of being Danny Nance. If you have doubts then meet up with me when I come to Chicago to visit my friend Scotty Nance. If you do I can prove to you that I can I can fight my way out of a paper bag as long as you throw the first punch. If you are a female I won't lay a hand on you because I don't hit women.

The forum moderator needs to bar you from this forum for her own good. Who knows? With the nonsense around here I wouldn't be surprised if you were also the forum moderator or had very close ties to her. You do seem to know alot about information only the moderator would be privileged too. That may explain why you are still here.

Do you actually practice fighting your way out of paper bags? Where do you get them that large?

This thread was about BTW losing 2 of its all-time great posters - Dan Nance and JDakuras.  I just wanted to remind everybody of that in case they got confused by Burton and his constant sidetracking of good topics that many wish to read.  Not many can match their fervor and nobody could surpass their knowledge of the inner workings of the sport we all love.   trotter  TC

Vegas is a ripoff these days.  thumbs down thumbs down thumbs down thumbs down

The quality of the hotels is slipping, the unwashed masses are everywhere, and every property wants to be the Mandalay Bay.

For my money, I'd rather go to Biloxi.  Me and the Beau Rivage get along well.

I'm partial to Tahoe. It reminds me of the Great Northwest (where I reside) and it's a lot more low key than Vegas. Not as many good restaurants but Reno is an hour's flight and the drive to Tahoe is scenic.

Tahoe is beautiful.  Biloxi is just a heck of a lot closer to me, haha.

I enjoy Vegas...I just think it's a little overplayed at this point.  Seems like it stopped being gambler-centric somewhat, if that makes sense.

Makes complete sense.

In my day (which was the 90's and early 2000's) you could get comped at a casino room rate for pretty average play, or at least get a buffet. Now, two entities own 80% of the hotels, and as with all markets where competition is reduced, the customer suffers. The level of play for a casino rate is absurd, and they have tripled their "casino rate" for a room, at least at the property I prefer to stay at.

They are now catering to the 20-30-somethings (apologies, EW, not you per se, you seem more savvy than the average person your age) who don't know any better, who gladly fork over $299 a night and $100 a meal, who don't know that a 6-5 blackjack payoff stinks, who don't know that slot payoffs are variable, yadda yadda. I think they are making up for the migration away from gamblers by overpricing and gouging at their games. There are values to be found, for sure...the locals stay away from The Strip like the plague...but if you're going on a vacation, who wants to stay at a little place away from the action?
