Was that hilarious or what
Rockin Ronnie tucked his whip..but both lines in his left hand and waived goodbye to Trond as he drove by him
in the stretch of the Trotting race off

You have to love that bit of T.O. type showmanship. I think it adds a lot to the game!
And while we are talking about the game, why not have more heat racing? It really adds spice to racing!

That was pretty funny....When I saw him tuck the whip away and start waiving I couldn't stop laughing....He must not like Trond or must have been upset he got beat in the other heat since that doesn't seem like something Pierce would do!

Pierce won plaudits from the crowd when he put the reins in his left hand during the stretch drive and waved good-bye to Queen Serene and Trond Smedshammer as Passionate Glide zoomed past them.

The only thing that would have made it better was if Pierce was waving bye-bye to the Maggot!!!!!!!

The race (and the wave) actually made the local sports news commentary on the Lexington TV stations tonight. It was shown immediately AFTER the Keeneland opening day highlights.

Most likely. I feel that Ron got caught up in the moment of beating Queen Serene who had just beaten him a few races earlier. This was his waying of adding insult to injury. Personally, I could careless if Ron did that every time he won because you see this show boating all the time in main stream sports.

INSTEAD OF BEING WAVED AT,HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN *** SLAPPED FOR THAT IGNORAMUS LIKE DRIVE!!!................DOPEY FRIGGIN SWEDE!!

Why didn't Trond keep Four Starz Lindy in there? Had he done that, Queen Serene could have gone to the lead and Four Starz Lindy could have come out in the stretch and boxed in Passionate Glide. P Glide boxed in and nowhere to go, you win the Filly Futurity. The fractions were slow enough for that scenario to have been possible.

Ed,
While Ron Pierce was being interviewed after the race in the winner's circle by Sam McKee, the largest gambler at The Red Mile was yelling at Pierce and cursing him from the 2nd floor grandstand. So you are not the only one who thought it was "classless", as he called it. It probably should also be noted he had $600 to win on the 1.

Yeah that would have been much better to see. I wonder how loud the crowd would have gotten if that happened?
