And a little more than a month ago people were saying he would have a tough time getting in there.

If Lost Wolfendone can get drives there, ANYONE can.  He makes Pat Berry look like a god.

And you saw when the big boys came to Dover last night he was an impressive 2 for 12..

He may compete well with Hanners and Morand, but he's not in the same league as Pierce, Sears and Miller

Anyone notice Brad Hanners put a 7 bagger up on Saturday afternoon? He *** slapped Morgan all over the track.

Baron,
I agree with the comparison.
But, 2 for 12 is still 17%.

yes, 17% is very good.. But not great.

Palone at 30% for the year is phenomenal...

Well I think these people will soon find out that the Dover driving colony gives the same competition as Chicago gave to him. I know I know, Dover sucks, drivers are stupid and suck, blah blah blah..

But give him a year and compare his win % for the year to his win % at Balmoral and Maywood last year.. I don't think they will vary much.

(And he will not win a driving title at Dover)

Tony will make 50% more money with less drives.  A closed racing community keeping all the money to themselves.

Hey, I think it was an outstanding choice on his part. You basically leave a marginal driving colony for another marginal driving colony, all the while increasing purses by 50-100% and increasing your possible weekly drives from around 80 to 90

What is funny is that someone actually might have believed this.

Very true.  He's also leading nationally pretty easy.  72 wins right now -- he's on track for a record.

At the end of the day, it's about profit.  Exotics = higher takeout, unknown pricing.  But, to each his own.

Just thought I'd bring this one to the surface, since TM has a 150 win lead over Hanners (he's about ready to double him up) -- is Baron out there?

Tony really is a terrific driver... More than that, he is a smart dominator.  He has his claws in there and really is "in the drivers seat".
