SERIOUS QUESTION FOR *** BASHERS

I am a former owner.  I don't post a lot, but I read a lot of the posts.  What I would like to know, are the credentials of the bashers.  Are you fans of the sport, owners, trainers, drivers, etc. or just  ball-busters who like to tick people off?  Please reply or I will assume you're the latter.

I am a fan of the sport who would like to be able to read and learn from the Chicago harness forum without that cretinus waste of skin Dan *** jumping in every subject to bash posters or spread nasty personal gossip that has nothing to do with racing or twist the subject back to Dan *** and how everyone screwed him over.

It was mildly interesting the first 7 times we read about it. The last 193 have grown repetative.

Richard, I havn't read everything I apoligize. I'm interested in learning and knowing the past. I'm here to get back in the sport and get a few tips on horses. From everyone knowing their opinion on races.

Going back to my original post. The only person who replied the way I asked was richard, he is a fan and I like that. What about the rest of the people what is your stake in the game? Ballbusters or people who are really interested in the sport?

Hello Big Daddy!

I've been following the harness game since the mid 70's.
Became a semi-serious handicapper.
Owned numerous horses in partnership from early 80' to early 90's.
Dealt with a couple different trainers.
Got married, concentrate now on my business and family.
Still follow the game closely.
Play every weekend, but not for nearly as much as the old days.
Came here to talk harness racing.
I did that and was immediately attacked by ***.
I was taught never to back down for what was right.
I haven't.
Unfortunately this thing has escalated to the stratosphere and has bored this forum to death.
I've been physically threatened on the forum as well as through personal messages.
I am berated constantly by ***.
I've been called a drug dealer,I'm identified as Tom Wendt, an insurance man with questionable ethics,on and on.
None of which is true.
All because I have an opinion.
I had lunch with some long time harness friends yesterday and this topic came up.
One compared *** to Bill Clinton.
Bill Clinton will be remembered for being impeached.No matter what he may have accomplished.
*** is remembered for his lack of integrity. No matter what he may have accomplished so long ago.
That's what people think of first when his name comes up.
That's not my fault.
I know this bores all the good horsemen and handicapping fans out there.
More of them need to stand up.
We should be talking about saving the sport in Illinois.
We should be talking about our enjoyment of the game.

Not this web of lies and racial insults thrown out by ***.
The two posters I enjoy reading the most are EW and NJHorseman.
In the last 24 hours *** has attacked them both.
They can defend themselves.
I find it disgusting.
Yesterday he sent a profanity laced tirade to our moderator.
When is enough enough?
He should leave or not be allowed in.
I am not going anywhere!

I am not a Dan *** basher, therefore this thread may not be applicable to me.  However I am just an ordinary fan, small bettor, never owned or trained a harness horse.   Have little knowledge of the sport in general but always on the lookout for nuggets of wisdom..............

Ive been a fan since 1975.
Bought my first in 1983.
trained my own until 96.

I had the pleasure of being in the same shed row at maywood with Dan and his wife. Not exactly sure what year, but it was the year Scott had stone house john boy.

To say I know him would be a over statement. But I can say this, they took very good care of there stock. They were some of the nicest people I ever met in this business. Dan and his wife were always willing to help a fellow horsemen out.

I will always have a ton of respect for them. Because, they did not have high power owners or endless check books. And succeeded in this business. I was in the same boat and could not and thankfully realized it . Was he the greatest who ever trained, that i can't say, but I wouldn't be afraid to have him as my trainer. 

As for the bashers on this forum, IMO it is completely unnecessary and useless. If you truly are fans and want to learn something on here, may I suggest stop the bullshit posts. And start learning from each other rather than bashing!!
