---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't believe it is a stupid rumor as I was at the track this morning and heard from a VERY reliable source that it was a mistake by a vet that did it. That's all I'm going to say for now as I'm sure the facts will come out very shortly. It appears that a very simple pre-race day procedure was screwed up by this vet. If true, it is very unfortunate and this particular vet in question has very close ties to an officer at Balmoral Park.

Heffering also owned In the Clouds, that great race mare that won about 11 straights races at the Meadowlands in the late 90s....there was no autopsy because there was no insurance on the mare....same vet??

---------------------------------------------------------- I'm not going to say anything further about it until all of the facts come out but I'm 100% confident in the statement that I made.

I sincerely hope you're right but common sense, especially if the link to Balmoral management is true, leads one to believe that this too will be swept under a rug and we have heard the last of it. The crooks, cheats, and horse killers are currently still in business and will be tomorrow ad infinitum. Nothing ever changes, especially in Chicago harness racing!!

As close as possible without getting caught. That might be in the IRB rule book?

I guarantee that most info they release to the public, on a situation like this, is hardly "concrete".

Even if it is langley nothing is even gonna happen. things like this just disappear. especially in the chicago area. there are so many trainers who have positives and serve nothing, or pay any fines.

I like how the autopsy has not been completed and we are jumping to conclusions. Kind of like with this JonBenet case, we all were gungho with John Karr, and BOOM it was not him. Let's wait for results before this too blows up in our faces.
