Does Hawthorne really think they can get double their dates?
It would be nice but not realistic.

You can't fault them for asking.

I hope they treat Hawthorne much better this year, but that's my personal opinion.

I predict that the grandstand at Balmoral with burn down in the late fall and Hawthorne will receive even more dates then they asked for.

It's only a matter of time before that dump catches fire and burns down and I believe it's coming soon.

Between Maywood & Balmoral the total amount of dates they want is 364! Yet they only want to race 6 days a week. Does this mean double headers in the winter?

Both associations that run meets at Maywood (Associates and MP Trotting) applied for the full spectrum of dates at Maywood.  They will, like always, divide up the meets.

EW, you are 100% correct in that it's WAR when it comes to dates.  If a track abdicated their slot, and the other tracks didn't ask to run in their slot, there are no "do-overs".  Ask for a ton, and get what you get - envelopes or no envelopes to Laim-o & Co.   trotter  TC
