Why would anyone claim a 10-year old gelding with a record in 2005 of 22 0-0-1 for $1,606 in earnings and 11-starts 1-1-1 for $3,486 in earnings for 2006. ? Ringthetownebelle is lame and can barely stand up so why would you give $4,000 for this horse racing for purses of $3,000 ? And just when you think you have seen it all Johnson County gets claimed for $4,000 tonight in his first start of 2006 off a trainer who bats around 600. What are these people thinking ?

I agree, though I didnt see the ones you mention. But $75,000 claim for Mulcay N sat. nite at the BigM?  Lots to pay with the meet coming to a close.

Where are they going with him?

Whatever, I guess.

Mulcay has a TON of raw speed.  But, the trainer has had a good meet, so we'll see...

Ringthetownebelle was over classified almost from the time he hit the track.  We'll see on that one.

Both are "on the line" claims, IMO.

Best,
EW
