Gee: I went looking for my LICENSES from the 70's. Both have a "LICENSE NUMBER ON THEM", Michigan and the USTA. IMAGINE THAT.  dude

But then again I am showing my age. We had to get RACING PAPERS back then. The blue ones were for pacers and I do believe the green papers were for trotters.

WAY BACK THEN  , this meant you had to be a "REGISTERED LICENSED OWNER" with the USTA, not a member "DOH"  Cry

Let's ask the next MILLION $$$$$ question, why would McErlean accept a USTA director seat to handle FAIR ISSUES.

I can't wait for this answer. By the way. Are you Cliff Siegels illegitimate son  Huh

Well you might want to look at the USTA cards for at least the past 20 years...all of mine just give a membership #, not a license #. Now I do have licenses from every state where I've raced. Note the word "state." States license owners, not the USTA.

You're wrong about the color of trotter's papers. Of course you still think the CTA exists, too.

Why limit yourself to McErlean? There are executives from every member track in the country on the USTA board. they are called racetrack directors.

Remember what I said about the USTA being the keeper of the sport's statistics? The tracks get all the data for their racing programs from the USTA. They wouldn't be able to classify horses or print programs without that USTA data. That's the main reason the USTA is important to them.

By the way, I'm a lot older than Cliff...maybe he's my illegitimate son.  Grin
But, we're not related.
