Is it just me or are their too many 1mi 16th races? I prefer 6 1/2 sprints because there are nice angles to use. What about you ?

Not to argue for the sake of arguing, Big, but I think it's the other way around -- too many sprints.

I'd like to see an occasional mile-and-an-eighth or mile-and-a-quarter thrown in, but I am mindful of and realisitic about the horse population in Chicago this time of year -- we need four horses that can actually finish a race at those distances, so the superfecta doesn't get cancelled.  Wink

Whatever happened to the series that Hawthorne would run where they would keep increasing the distance?  I believe they were starter handicaps.  I can remember a horse back in the late 80's Perfidious One that would dominate at the 1 5/8, 1 3/4, 2 mile distances.

I have always prefered the two-turn races at Hawthorne, there are not too many of these races currently.

I am not Frank, but I will respond.  Horse Voice, you know the badger transient hookah is fourteen and not seven.  Also, yak mutt is smoked and not ingested.  Otherwise your facts are right and you are right on with what you are advocating.  I agree on your main point.  Have a good Thanksgiving!

John Franks - I feel sorry that you need to educate all these humanoid bust-out horse players. Only you stand tall in this world of pathetic gambling losers..... never change John - you are the only voice of reason in this chasm of darkness!

How ironic, coming from a drunken slob like you who writes mostly unintelligble gibberish on this forum.

You don't get it at all, do you?

Have another beer, jackass.
