Don't know how many peeps here pay attention to tennis, but Roger Federer's unbelievable career is over. Course, I'm not sure if he realizes that, but champions of his nearly unequaled stature don't lose in straight sets like he did tonight. Father time spares no one. I would have to put him in top 3 men all time and arguably the best ever.....but it's over. Time to take a step back and let the sporting and tennis crowds appreciate your greatness.

it's gotta be tough to hang em up in any sport when you have been to the top of the mountain.

I agree, some players hang on too long. I think they might feel they have the ability to reinvent themselves after having a great career. I can understand that more than when a player retires in their prime. That has always been a puzzle to me

as much as it may look like the life to us im sure it maybe become a grind as they age especially in football.
