Are there stewards at Arlington Park?
Real Solution was knocked 7 paths in the stretch.
It took a minute or so to post a jockey objection. No Inquiry?Huh??
I had Real Solution and it was completely obvious he was blowing by and was knocked sideways... bang head bang head bang head bang head

I feel for you buddy, I had something similar happen to me long ago in the Million.  I had the Superfecta, and it would have been a great one until Powerscourt was set down and Megestretti was moved up to second.   I had Magestretti in my bottom half of the super but didn't have him in the top half.   I loved Kickin Kris and Powerscourt and I had lots of boxes with those two and Epalo (sp) on top.

Very close call, I think you can argue it either way. The powerscourt was was a much easier call.

Yes they did, but that didn't take the sting out of losing over 10 grand due to a DQ.

i understand your pain it never goes away.
i still feel the pain of the 85 flamingo stakes for about $8k.
i have the ex w proud truth winning only only to be placed 2nd.
to rub it in my face even more they take the race to court and the original results are upheld.
i got hosed twice on one race

Niatross - I am with you on the Flamingo.  I had Proud Truth as well.  As I recall, Proud Truth was in front of Chief's Crown by an open length or more, and then drifted into the path that Chief's Crown was taking, but he was well clear and did not impede Chief's Crown at all.  I am still pissed off about it, and noted the later court case giving Proud Truth the win.  It still hurts.  I think I had $200 to win on Proud Truth.

Today I had Real Solution, but only to show, so the DQ did not help me (I still won).  I do think the Stewards got it correct today.  Kudos to them, and curses to the Florida Stewards from 1985.

I probably wasn't clear with my post or the topic. The stewards DID make the right call today. I HAD Real Solution. The stewards NEVER put up an Inquiry in the race. It wasn't until a minute or so later when Alan Garcia came back, did he lodge an objection.
My question was more meant as how could they possibly not see the obvious infraction?
Yes, eventually they did make the right call.

You didn't watch the head-on replay at all, did you?

The usual "mottoman half-effort".  thumbs down

Was there anyone in the Steward booth during the race how can they not see that horse ramming into the other horse 4 or 5 times. It is time for new stewards in Illinois! These guys been in this position for more than 15 years. They become too comfortable and do what they want.
