I'll single La Tia and hope she really strings them out, and am actually really interested in Mongolian Saturday in the Derby -- not much pace there, and if he gets over the turf anywhere close to the way he gets over the Poly, look out.

Beat a really nice group of older horses when racing two conditions above his head last out.

Thanks for you thoughts Matt

Stars and Stripes: DARK COVE. Backup: SUNTRACER
looks good , might seem a bit chalky though

Modesty: LA TIA. Backups: EMBARR and COLONIAL FLAG
LA TIA seems to be the picks odds on

American Derby: DORSETT. Backup: PROCUREMENT
I want to look clser at this, and review my derby data

Arlington Handicap: NAJJAAR. Backups: BEER GARDEN and RAHYSTRADA

NAJJAAR ??..i think that one took some of mine in the past..

Coach Jimi Lee: TREASURY BILL. Backup: MONGOLIAN SATURDAY
i have to look at all of this one..

the jimmy lee stakes..
i remember when he set the stakes sprint record on the frozen ground, he was running so fast to stay warm and keep his warm feet off the cold ground..like you skip at the beach on the hot sand.
try standing on the cement below zero without socks on

I like The Pizza Man in the 7th.
Even tho, he's run well on Yielding turf, he's much better on a firm turf.

9th race selection
---------------------

has all the look of a jockey tactics race with very little pace among the lead contenders.

6 Infinite Magic---desperately wants more distance than his last race mile
team valor saw enough to bring this horse stateward and race him on the turf
toss his dirt horror show 2 back. oh yes his first 5 races were on synthetic surfaces
guess team valor doesn't know that good horses don't race on that surface in the UK.

10  Moro Tap--350K yearling buy coming nicely to hand; not sure about the distance pedigree but he certainly seems to me to want more ground than his last
at Indiana. Rosie back in the saddle. lots to like about this gray.

This horse hasn't proven to be "good" yet, just average...and a "suspect" average at that, with only one good race over a real racing surface. Huge class test and no surprise if this one doesn't hit the board.

Oh, and by the way AL..."good" horses don't get handed off to 3 different trainers in 3 consecutive races, a clear sign that the connections are puzzled by this horse, and are stabbing around looking for *any* improvement.

A TERRIBLE animal to bet on...even if he wins, WAY too much risk for too little return.  thumbs down

Risk reward is what horseracing betting is all about. My horse picked off the chalk here first race off the plane at GP. Then he ran an ill advised race at Belmont on the slop; then shipped to Indiana for a race that was too short for him. He's won at 10F, so the distance won't be a problem. At the current price (9-1) I say fair value.

along with my other horse I think I have a great shot to win. and maybe hit some exotics.

Good luck to all

good ride by channing.

perfectly positioned for this tactical race behind the cheap speed

sat chilly for most of the race, was set down for the drive, got the lead and refused to relinquish the lead to the 2 closers.

My other horse disappointed, however the 27 win price and the 97 buck exacta with chalkie salved that wound rather nicely.

The trainer hopping wasn't necessarily because of the horse.  Noseda had him and sold to Team Valor, which at the time meant Motion was getting him.  Team Valor took everything away from Motion and sent to Mettee.  Mettee was in process of getting setup at Fair Hill so Ribaudo (at Mettee's request) trained him for the Peter Pan as Team Valor was hoping he was a Belmont horse.  Now he is with Mettee along with all the Team Valor horses.

It was Motion's decision to leave Team Valor. Team Valor wanted Motion exclusive to their operation and Motion didn't want to do that.

Logical explanations that defy punter assumption like this are not acceptable on THIS forum, Bob B.  Grin
