How did you get a 27-1 shot into the exacta?

Did the odds jump on Marquetry from 9-5 (your idea of a "longshot" price) after you bet, all the way up to 27-1?

Or did you simply punch the wrong number, and get lucky?  dunno

False.

Marquetry won two allowance races 2 weeks apart at Santa Anita, before his Hollywood Gold Cup theft (where he was carrying a ridiculous 110 lbs, to Farma Way and Summer Squall's 122!)

took a little bit of time to settle into American racing.

Uh huh.

Hey Al, that maiden win Marquetry got in his first try at Salisbury? What kind of racing surface was that? Poly?

 dunno
