Chalk bettors get snapped again as " Weatern Cyclone " pops out of the pocket and busts all the chalk players.

Dan

I know you are happy Harmer's horse gets beat tonight. But isn't it a pleasure watching real racing (just like the old day's) quality stock going at it?

Wrong! I'm not happy seeing the Harmer's horse get beat. I think the horse looks like a monster. I don't like the driver. There's better. The horse needs a change of hands. If the LeVin's can boot Ronnie then Harmer can boot McDonalds.

I have nothing against the " Golden Boy " I think he's a hell of a lucky guy getting all the good horses he's had over the years.

For starter's, *** the Levin's!! What have they ever done to better this sport? Put Larsen in a new career? Take Ronnie off and make miller look like the greatest, because my boy David is a monster  on a half?

As far as the drive pm gave tonight he got Jj a slow half and couldn't wake him up coming home. A driver change, I don't know, but I do know this, I've never had a issue with a driver putting one of my horse's in winning position turning for home.

I totally agree what you said about the Levin's. Nothing wrong with PM's drive. Horses need a change of hands after having the same driver for 5 or 6 starts. Even more so after they get beat.

Is that where the " Golden Boy " got the horse from? Boy, this Harmer now is one kucky guy. No wonder why he's looked like such a sharp trainer over all these years. He always somehow landed the good ones didn't he? Must be his great personality that attracts the money owners.

I'm sure Joe (the knife) isn't too happy these days.

P.S.
What about your sources in Chicago? Any word on those high gas positives?

I don't know how you can say Harmer got lucky.
He's a good horseman pure and simple.

Jim Eaton is a good horseman also " pure and simple " but has he had the great horses Harmer has had over the years? There are alot of good horseman " pure and simple " who have not been as " lucky " as Harmer.

Harmer did alot of work in  the trenches in Michigan and Florida.
Claiming, driving etc;
He did it all at one time or another.
Don't begrudge him because he had wealthy owners.
He wouldn't be able to keep wealthy owners if he didn't do well.

Any trainer with any ability at all could keep wealthy owners happy if they had the stock that Harmer was lucky enough to have.

If it was that easy, anyone with tons of cash would buy the best stock and win, win, win.
You know it's not that easy.

no question Harmer has been very blessed with top notch stock.

and no question in my mind that great horses make great trainers and drivers for that matter. But you have to admit Thom and Debbie run a great operation.

Now could team Nance done the same/ if not better-- with the quality of stock. imo-- of course and the same goes with a hell of a lot  other horsemen I know. But that is just part of life, some people are always going to get the breaks and some never will.

dt2, did you know that we bought one of Tommys "Rejects" once? a horse by the name of Sam-A-Way!!! I dont know if you remember but he was a big Knee-knocking horse that Tommy said would NEVER get around Maywood, Maybe DN can put the picture on here of him winning the INV. and beating an odds on fav. 1 and 1a entry that Tommy had in there.

Hey DN, Marc Aubin loved to drive big Sam didnt he???
