he plays the call to the post each and every race (love the Sir Duke the other day at Harrahs thumbs up-not to mention the finale call he blasted on the fourth of july! trophy)....calls a great race and never misses a step.
heart it when he's "moonlighting" @ tioga.  gets me betting a few sheckles there for that alone +  JG's gotta  heart the multi talented "kid" who's mature WAAAY beyond his years.

JWR is an ego maniac. He was boasting that he & Sam Mckee were the best in the game. JWR calls 1 or 2 horses in the stretch. He often misses the winner coming & 1st calls the horse at the wire.

He calls a good race, and he's a younger person interested in the game.  We're lucky to have him.

All the best,
EW

That is a completely different situation. LL has overcome a lot of late. He also does not tell you how good he is.

I like jw I think his race calls are solid, I hear a lot of his musical background in his calls which is fine bc that's who he is.. When I listen to Sam McKee I hear more of the excitement of the harness race... Sam McKee, ken wark, Larry lederman, Vance Cameron, are my all time favorite callers.. Chester racing is pretty bland most of the time w very little movement excellent track to hone your skills at for a new guy..

Health issues aside (I always wish Larry the best) I could use a mute button on Lederman's calls.
He attracts attention to himself.
The race should be the focus, not the announcer.
My opinion.
To each his own.

LL humor is great. His cadence is second to none. You could not be more wrong about LL attracting attention to himself. Congrats on a new low which i thought you could not achieve.

JW is not only an excellent race caller but he is a true student of the game.
If there were more young blood like him involved in harness racing, it would really be a help to the game thumbs up thumbs up
Another big plus is his multitasking skills, love his call to the posts trophy trophy

JWR is not a cookie cutter announcer.  He thinks for himself and outside the box.  He calls a great race.  Yeah, he's a confident guy.  But he takes nothing for granted and is always looking to become better and more innovative.

Stagnation permeates harness racing.  Props to James for a breath of fresh air!   trophy

Please don't cut and paste this guys posts.  He seriously doesn't get it.  He's the only person who I've ever placed on eggnore.  Now he's going to bash LL?   LL has a serious health issue and he's less miserable than the poster who I will not name here.

As for my friend James, he calls a great race and he DOES care about the advancement of the game.  I have a feeling that  trotter will be eating crow at some point regarding James.

Slow down......Go back and read my post.
I don't care for Lederman's announcing style.
That's all there is to it.
It's my opinion.
It has nothing to do with his illness, his well liked personality, his love for the game.
I don't like his announcing style.
Now if someone wants to twist this around just to personally insult me, it's just making them look bad.
Not me.

They guy was drunk and he mumbled and he never called a winner. He was hilarious.

Why is it that if you say that your not a fan of LL that you wish him ill ? I really dont understand that mind set.
Personally i think hes okay as an announcer,  and he seems like a great guy.  I sincerely hope he is able to overcomehis health issues and ccontinueto do what he loves.

Does that make me a bad person?
