well its shaping up to be a picture PERFECT day on spaceship earth.
sunny..and warm, for a change ..with a light breeze off the water.
when the wind blows over lake Michigan it makes the neighborhood smell like sweetness.

the pleasantness and of the clarity of the air as it rolls across and off the cleanest lake on earth is something to experience and one of the main reasons i stay here.

it only lasts for about a mile inland though..then the cars ruin the experience with their exhaust fumes.

preakness with a certain ITM colt.

who can defeat ORB ?

ORB has defeated all the colts in the gate decicisevly except a few.

Da Govna
Departing
goldencents -  I just don't think liked the slop.out west they don't race on slop its polly

all three bold type graded winners.

departing won on the long hawthorne stretch, and has rested a month..that may make the difference.

anything can happen...shoe...bee, saddle,,,,(injury)

i like thi exacta tri super..

orb / gold, depat, govna, // all // all

i cant see it happening any other way.. maybe box the first part of the super in an exacta ??

you have to cover orb loosing, casue the payout will be deep.
perhaps in one of the DD bets ?

remember DIME supers here ..not like at CD
there are a few special DD..one with the pimlico special, and one with the Fillies race on Friday..
if you bet one of the three place horse deep to place, and orb looses..thats special

if you bet a dime super to cover orb out...thats very special.

the dime super to cover the unexpected here is very appealing..

Interesting angle on Golden Cents.  I didn't like him going in to the Derby because I thought the field he beat in the Santa Anita Derby was weak -- but you offer food for thought.

The Derby winner is always overbet at the Preakness, but Orb is looking special.

i think every colt that defeated Goldencents broke themselves in doing so.

he silenced the son of ghostzapper, hear the ghost, in defeat.
the beffert colt flashback is on the shelf.. super99..pfftt..
and he crushed mylute in the delta

o neil is not stupid, pulling up in the derby could be his cash big on preakness day strategy..not like he needs the money window though..he has plenty

A lot of P4 tickets will have Orb singled.  If you can find a single in a diff leg then spread in the Preakness and Orb loses you are prob going to be paying Uncle Sam part of your winnings.

Or you could play it safe,  single Orb,  and try to catch a price or two or three in the other legs.

I haven't looked yet but that is the route I will probably go.

When dealing with an odds-on horse in a pick-4, I feel you DO or you DON'T.  I either single him and bet multiples, or spread out with no multiple combos.

Another Black-Eyed Susan scratch:  Manuka Honey

"Walkwithapurpose, a three-time listed stakes winner, was diagnosed with a bruised foot, according to a statement released by her owner, the Sagamore Farm. Manuka Honey, winner of the Suncoast Stakes and runner-up in the Grade 3 Fantasy, will scratch after coming out of her most recent workout a little flat, according to trainer John Terranova."
