Finally the Illinois House is meeting tomorrow to decide whether or not to pass SB1739 for expanded gaming.

If it passes then on to Quinn for his signature, veto or in 60 days it becomes law.

I don't expect gutless wishy washy Quinn to do anything logical like sign it.

Even with a signature,The IL gaming commission with its zest to save us from the mob?

will throw down roadblocks to actually implement the bill that may take years.

With 2 of our last 3 governors convicted criminals, I wish someone could save us from our elected officials!

Quinn does not represent the people of Illinois or the Democratic Party of Illinois...He has Failed the voters who elected him...Gambling is already everywhere is the state between the mid day pic 3 games and the video gaming at at bars and restaurants all over town. On line gaming (poker) would be HUGE for the state!!! Casino in Chicago and Rockford HUGE boost to those areas..ADW is a must too!!! Get your act together Illinois and get these passed ASAP!!! Shove all in and reap the rewards and profits now going to Indiana, WI and IowA!!!!

He's said there are yet additional changes he would like to see to strengthen integrity, and he expects those changes to come in the House. So, if so, and King Mike approves, it's back to the Senate.

Going back to Senate, if passes... Lets see how many amendments the House has

yah, the ADW/gambling fiasco is a head scratcher. Huh.... bang head..... doh

all that revenue for the state forsaken for some reason i just dont understand.

it cannot be a logical reason,  dunno...or it would be in the press as to why.

adw is win for everyone. churn is churn..win or lose. popcorn

the OTB is a great pain compared to the ADW.

i will not waste your time with my OTB experience on derby day
because i wanna forget it as quick as I can,
the things I saw,
the door literally hitting me on the way out causing pain I am in today
i transgress.

Preakness will have some very interesting value, especially if goldencents likes the dry dirt in Maryland, departing used the extra 2 weeks of rest well,
or da gavna proves to be a very promising colt.
that typed I might have to chase the derby pain and venture into the OTB for I hope the last time. There is no value on belmont day..pools are always light and not worth the effort.

SB 7 is still a shell bill, the amendment hasn't been added yet.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The Illinois legislature and our pathetic excuse for a governor could screw up a one-car funeral.

da mayor rolled out his expanded McCormick place plans...expanded tourism
2 new large hotels..expanded conventions..De Paul puts up 70 million for a new basketball home stadium on that property, the feds put up mega millions..

and over here behind curtain number three...would be the casino, to lure the new convention trade..and finance this

imagine going to Chicago for a convention at McCormick place, staying at one of the new hotels, gambling at the casino, going to the lakefront park, navy pier, take in a show..see a De Paul game or some other game in the new stadium

its all there. the plans are in place to TAX TAX TAX the tourist..
Chicago's tax system is designed to slap the visitor.. hotel tax, rental car tax, air port tax, sales tax at navy pier..

da govna stands in the way of this....

this is something the democrats all want..if he stands in the way, i think he puts himself on a political island.

the casino downtown is not internet gambling though...who knows how that will go.
i will say this , i went to the OTB to bet the Preakness...and that is not a lot of fu...traffic..
