did she ever face our greatest sprinters?  No.. Aussie racing is horrid and I would have loved to see her at the Breeders Cup to be able to stake that claim.

oh pulease......the past few yrs most of our US sprinters can't even win two races in a row....

U.S. sprinters are self-obviously the best in the world simply by virtue of having U.S. in front of sprinters. Don't you know anything?

Like how U.S. sprinters tore up the sprint races at Dubai this year.  Roll Eyes

A list of the best Mares of all time. Goldikova 53rd???

http://www.horseracingnation.com/polls/current/PowerRankings_All_Time_Female
Like any list of this sort, it's skewed towards recent American horses.   Zarkava is where?   Dreaming of Julia above her?

Come on!!!!

Some day we are going to have to bring the best runners from Europe, the U.S., and the Orient together to determine who is best, otherwise this argument will go on forever.  No one can claim they are the best, only the best in their region of the world.

Although it's not organized, it happens several times a year in multiple venues at the big international events.  In general, the Euros are pretty clearly the best.

Retiring a horse like that is awesome.  She may not have been the greatest, but I'm sure to her owners and trainer she was the greatest.
