Interesting scenario shaping up in the Levy for his barn.

Good article.

The rule should be enforced as the rule was written. Only 2 horses that started the series in the Burke barn should race in the final. The Burkes got the purse money in elims & would be circumventing the rule by selling a horse. Hopefully Yonkers will tighten this up next year.
A better thing would be the sport to be rid of the Burkes by next year. Start treating the Burkes like Pena & ban them from most tracks. BAN THE BURKES should be the sports new slogan.

Ban him for having 230 horses?  The reason the serious is dominated by him is because he has so many horses in it

Most are naive as he improves horses at an astonishing rate. That is why the Burkes have #'s. Lou Pena started with 2 horses & had around 100 when stopped. The Burkes keep increasing the #'s & are no different. Fruits from a poisionous tree.
Quick Deal
Summer Indian
Visable Gold
No time to name the other 50-100 horses with great improvements.

what rule are they circumventing?
You can only start two in the final and they'll only start two.

There is absolutely no way a trainer can manage 230 horses and be in control as the trainer responsibility rules are written NOW!  No way! Bomb

laughing guy  of course ask Assmusen, Baffert, Pletcher, Lake,  Lukas in his heyday if there is no way they can do it either...

They all seem to be doing just fine just like Burke.

Just think with 230 horses racing in 5 different states and over 50 grooms and 5 different 2nd trainers and 5 different vets  that somebody would have his secret sauce .

But the rumor is he flys from state to state the day of the race and preraces all of them.

Something For Doc was sold. Mark Ford will have his hands full to keep him from crashing.
1)Mortal Zin who won an A2 at the Meadowlands is struggling in C1 for Alagna.
2)Hot List a former 15 clm improved greatly & raced in the Matchmaker.
3)Stonehouse Adam could not beat NW3500 at Flamboro improved greatly & raced in Levy.
If you answered (A) was a former Burke horse & (B,C) instant & amazing improvements by Burke then you are smarter than a 5th grader.

Mortal Zin just took a lifetime mark with Alagna a couple of weeks ago.

Stonehouse Adam had a mark of 1.54.3  at GRAND RIVER RACEWAY (1/2)  with Ray Bunn training. The horse had Robert Shepherd and Paul Mackenzie behind the shafts all year.

The Burke's sure arre firing on all cylinders.
They are managing their business extraordiarily well in getting all these different horse ready at the right time.
Then selling off others.
Now after yesterday's qualifiers more are on the way.
Quite a business model.

Maybe your confused as Mortal Zin is 1 win, 2 places, & 0 shows in 13 starts this year. MZ had 7 wins, 7 places, & 1 show in 23 starts in 2012.

Is that the best you got? The Burkes had Cane Ridge for 2 starts. I hardly think thats a good example.

Here is a another Burke miracle.
Visable Gold was 1 win in last 27 starts before moving to th Burke barn. He is now 8 for 8 & has ascended up the class ladder. The hard work has paid off again for the Burkes. The cheating never ends with the Burke Brigade.

Your stats are skewed.
Drop the effort.
Just tell us exactly how they are cheating since you seem to know so much.

They bought the horse off of a trainer that batted
2012 - .121
2011 - .136
2010 - .153
2009 - .086
2008 -.189
2007 - .139
2006 - .151

The horse is bred out the ass being a 1/2 brother to Won The West , and it's not like the horse wasn't pacing in .51/.52 with his old trainer.
