Emerald Downs was one of the nicest tracks I have ever gone to.
What shocks me is the cost of incidentals there such as admission, parking, etc
I guess the high cost keeps out the bad element because as I remember Emerald and Golden Gates cost a ridiculous amount to get in and park but unlike NYRA tracks, you don't see any jiffy pop hats at ether Emerald or GG.

they're putting their hair up in that.  I always appreciate when they wear silver or gray hats, then the "jiffy pop" hat description I use in my notes is just that much more accurate.
