Typical Mets, they had to give up 3 runs in the 9th. bang head bang head

They might be in a game soon with only 1 or 2 runs ahead.  dunno dunno    laughing guy

Too bad Minaya's not around to, like, trade David Wright for Minnie Minoso.

Kazmir-for-Zambrano sounded like a Minaya deal, but amazingly enough it was Duquette.

Ever Notice how there are GM's where when they work in small markets they make great moves, build great farms, and teams? then these same guys go to a larger market where the team has money...and they rarely make the right move when they DO have money to spend dunno dunno

They have already started to print the Mets playoff tickets. Only 160 to go. A mere formality.

Minaya drafted Matt Harvey.  Minaya got rid of Kazmir.

He also made some bad moves, but the point is that there are a lot worse guys out there.

OK, the Mets lost ONE game.    Can still go 161-1.   trophy

One of his worst moves was giving Luis Castillo a big long term deal that crippled their payroll for years. There were better 2nd baseman out there at the time who were open to 1 year deals. It is not just me making this next statement, many have made it...that Minaya leaned towards building a team around Latin players. Choice of a Latin versus anyone else, he chose the Latin, and he gave those players much more than he had to.

I won't say yes or no, but it did seem that way based on his choices.

I believed they are improved, building great for future, etc. but what can happen (which has always been the case) is teams can improve, but do worse record wise because their own division is much stronger and they play those teams 18x a year ( I believe that's the #).

Nope.  Duquette was GM when the Kazmir trade went down.
