Janelle has just posted the newest ITHA membership memo under "BTW"'s home page news. (I'd repost it in this post but since I don't own a laptop, I can't get the free library computer I'm on to cooperate - so solly; hope to win enough at AP this summer to buy one - (ha).)

Anyway, Mike Campbell once again writes with strength and clarity. But his overall tone is one of such unbridled despair. It's as if Custer told his troops, "Hey fellows, this Little Big Horn isn't going to be any picnic. But we might make it through. See you on 'the other side.'"

Campbell's melancholy is so unabridged that it will be taken by that kookie fringe of AP bashers as merely more evidence that "Arl-beria 2015" will one day be remembered along with the governorship of Rod Blagojevich, that "magical" midnight at Meigs Field and Tim Floyd's head coaching of Los Boos as unmitigated area-associated disasters.

Deep coats at AP are reporting, though, that the crack Vintage Director of Communications has already outlined the track's vigorous response.

Among the black typos in Arl-Beria's May newspaper will be:

--- Racetrack recipes for that perfect Belmont buffet;

--- Tony Petrillo on keys to attacking the three-syllable word;

--- Update: It's still 30 years since our "Miracle Million" (when we quickly got to sweep away any evidence of possible arson that forever stymied both local authorities and national insurance investigators);

--- "Quit!, hell no (except now maybe)";

--- Epoxy or implants?: Saving your "TV wig" on windy AP days.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really looking forward to it. Even my Uncle Stas' follows it now.

Good racing!
