Ok everyone, here's your chance to let the suits know how you feel. The CDI annual meeting will be held at AP this year.

I will be there, not much happens at the meeting business-wise, but you get a chance to make a comment and see the big shots of horse racing.  That was what it was like at Churchill.  I am surprised they are meeting up here, since they barely acknowledge the existence of Arlington.  Must be something to do with Mr. D pushing for it.  The meeting is usually in June during the Churchill meeting.  It is interesting to see that they are meeting here during the dark time.  That way the stockholders do not get to see the bad horses and fields as they usually stay for the races in the afternoon.

Hey, you, motto and I can be Janine's official reporters at the meeting.

Sounds like a great idea to me. If I can't bring my camera I will bring my paper and crayons and draw the big wigs as they tell all us the great plans they have for CDI.

Easier to scout the plant out as a casino conversion without those pesky racing fans blocking the sight lines.

Like the CDI CEO who's afraid of horses?

Maybe in honor of this event they will clean the carpets. Maybe even clean the bathrooms.

Who knows they might even unlock the panic bars on the doors leading outside of the circular staircases.

I thought that was good for $1 off admission.

10 AM

Not sure where in the building they will hold it.  It usually draws a large number of people at Louisville.

I am trying to go although I am battling with some work and physical problems.

I doubt if you will hear anything other than how great CD is doing.

They did open it up to questions and answers when I was at the one meeting that I attended.  Whether they will do it here is not a certainty.

Do not look for me to ask anything.  If I did, I would spend the summer outside the main gate with Nick the Kid watching the races from there.

Speaking of Nick the Kid, I heard a rumor that he is banned permantly because he made a pelvic thrusting motion behind a waitress.

There will simply not be another one like him, ever.

The meeting might be at Arlington as a show of solidarity with Arlington.

Can they do that? Keep a stockholder off his own property?

My understanding is that only shareholders can be admitted to these.  We all should have bought even just 1 share each in CDI as soon as we found out about AP being the venue.  On lighter note, about CEO of CDI being afraid of horses: there was long-ago Native American musician named Frank Afraid of Horses.

Meeting was short and sweet. 3 votes all passed and the meeting was over in 15 mins. Didn't see APCDDan there. Too bad as shareholders were given a small bag Parkcorn on the way out.

The passes can be pulled at any time.  Then you become a customer who can be banned from the property at will.

No, had work committments.  Figured that was how it would go.  They probably voted to re-elect the three directors (including Mr. D), passed pay increases for the executives, and voted to accept the auditor's report.

Parkcorn!   Another good reason for missing the meeting.  That stuff is pure cr*p.

Scav. Where did you hear this? Crazy. I know Nick. Not sure he'd do a "Pelvic Thrust" behind a waitress. I could be wrong.
