If Duane had lived, you would be able to put the Allmans up there with Steely Dan, and the Stones.

JD, you seem to have forgotten Elton John.  Wink

I will admit to having gone to one of his concerts in 1974.  There.

Seriously Luc.....Aerosmith ?
I just lost what little respect I had for you.

That could be the worst rock band of all time. They had one halfway decent song.
I can't believe that you really said Aerosmith.
Typical mid west hillbilly answer.

Not a band but Billy Joel by a country mile.  Then Simon & Garfunkel.

Add Eagles to the band list - Eagles without Mike Vick!

Burton my friend, one of the rare times I disagree with you.  Guns n Roses could kick ass with the best of them...Sweet child o mine, while not Stairway was not too shabby.

Right you are O&S.

No good rock bands in the 80's?

What about The Pretenders, or INXS, or Elvis ***, or Blondie, or Robert Palmer, or the Cure, or all those bands from Georgia like the B-52's and  REM, just to name a few.

im surprised nobody has come up with the band that spent 14 years on the billboard top 200 album chart. does Pink Floyd not enter this discussion? going to griffith park observatory in the hollywood hills and watching the dark side of the moon  laser show  in the planetarium was a rite of passage growing up in calif.
