I love my Hawks, when you have not lost in regulation in 21 games does it matter if you beaten good, bad, or average teams. You play the schedule. What the Hawks haven't done is beat themselves in those 21 games. They seem to play at the same level game in and game out. They roll four lines out, with their fourth line averaging 11 minutes, and can pair three defensive lines unlike most teams. No major injuries so far. Yes Crawford,missed some games which my be a blessing with the stellar play of Emery. By the way that fourth line just not a top checking line they can score. After watching two years of first round exits hoping for a long playoff run. To Luc's point which he said he was kidding, I remember a Hawks team in 90-91 that won the President's Trophy, and then lost to the North Stars four games to two in the first round, it happens. Wink or Yimmy, I forget which home town team you are a fan of, Devils, Rangers, or Islanders.

Isles. DP gave up five goals in the first period at Bridgeport last night, and got pulled. That's about where the franchise is now. Been to nine or ten games this season, all losses save for the TO game the other night where they picked up a point but lost in the first millisecond of the OT. We actually have a very good goalie, Mikko Koskinen, but he is in (wait for it...) FINLAND!  |
