He's an ox, Martin.  Also better than people think, but they stick him on a bad line. 9 hits for the laddie last night.

I love my Hawks, when you have not lost in regulation in 21 games does it matter if you beaten good, bad, or average teams.  You play the schedule.  What the Hawks haven't done is beat themselves in those 21 games.  They seem to play at the same level game in and game out.  They roll four lines out, with their fourth line averaging 11 minutes, and can pair three defensive lines unlike most teams.  No major injuries so far.  Yes Crawford, missed some games which my be a blessing with the stellar play of Emery.  By the way that fourth line just not a top checking line they can score.  After watching two years of first round exits hoping for a long playoff run. To Luc's point which he said he was kidding, I remember a Hawks team in 90-91 that won the President's Trophy, and then lost to the North Stars four games to two in the first round, it happens.  Wink or Yimmy, I forget which home town team you are a fan of, Devils, Rangers, or Islanders.

Really like the team as constructed.  Halfway thru the strike shortened season and well, clearly the best team in hockey now.  Championships are not won now.  Lack of injuries will be the key..Streak is nice BUT would rather seen them hoist another Cup.  thumbs up beer thumbs up

What is with the way the NHL describes/releases injury reports Huh  bang head bang head bang head

Yeah, but...

"...Viime viikolla: 2

Ei se aina helppoa ole: Anaheim on noussut tappioasemasta kuudessa peräkkäisessä ottelussa, samaan pystyi viimeksi Columbus 2006.

Harmittava loukkaantuminen: Jonas Hiller. Toisaalta, Hillerin sairausloma antoi Viktor Fasthille tilaisuuden. Nyt Hiller on palannut, ja pelaa hyvin.

3. Boston Bruins (10-2-2)

Viime viikolla: 3

Bruins on pelannut neljä ottelua vähemmän kuin monet muut joukkueet ja viisi vähemmän kuin Philadelphia Flyers.

Harmittava loukkaantuminen: Shawn Thornton. Boston tarvitsee miestä muuhunkin kuin tappeluihin. Aivovamma piti hänet sivussa.

4. Montreal Canadiens (12-4-2)

Viime viikolla: 7

Michel Therrienin vaikutusta: Montreal päästi korkeintaan yhden maalin viidessä ottelussa ja voitti seitsemän ottelua peräkkäin.

Harmittava loukkaantuminen: Max Pacioretty. Oli sivussa umpilisäkkeen leikkauksen ja ylävartalovamman vuoksi, mutta on tehnyt 13 pistettä 14 ottelussa.

5. Pittsburgh Penguins (13-6-0)

Viime viikolla: 4

Sidney Crosbylla on kuusi kolmen pisteen ottelua, helmikuussa. Hän avusti Robert Bortuzzoa ja Beau Bennettiä tekemään ensimmäiset maalinsa.

Harmittava loukkaantuminen: Jevgeni Malkin. Viime kaudella liigan parhaaksi valittu Malkin kärsii aivotärähdysoireista..."

Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it.  Cheesy

Isles.

DP gave up five goals in the first period at Bridgeport last night, and got pulled.  That's about where the franchise is now.  Been to nine or ten games this season, all losses save for the TO game the other night where they picked up a point but lost in the first millisecond of the OT.

We actually have a very good goalie, Mikko Koskinen, but he is in (wait for it...) FINLAND!   Angry

It has become like football. Don't want the other team to know what the real injury is so they don't go after it. Even thou almost everyone knows what the injury is anyway.  bang head

The "upper body injury" thing has indeed gotten annoying.  Does the guy have a teensy headache, or did he fracture his fargin' clavicle?

Kane with a nice goal in the shoot out.  The only downer was getting the invoice for playoff tickets in the mail yesterday.  Boy the NHL jacks those ticket prices!

The Blackhawks have earned at least a point in 28 straight games - dating to a March 25, 2012 loss in regulation to Nashville - to tie the second-longest streak in league history.
