Looking to go undefeated in their 16th game tonite vs. Vancouver. It was hard to predict which teams would come out strong after lockout...it is clear to see that the Blackhawks are top team in NHL. Although I am big Islander fan (they came into NHL in 1973), my first Hockey Jersey was. Blackhawks jersey with Stan Mikita's #

Well into OT so the Hawks will look for the record Friday night against the Sharks. As I donated to a couple of casino's in Vegas I did lay a 350 bet on the Hawks at 5-1 to go with the other I have with a local book. Team has looked really good thru the first fifteen games of the year. Enjoyed a skybox winner with family and friends on Sunday. There isn't another team that can throw four lines out like the Hawks. There fourth line averages 11 minutes a game. Off to a shootout.

A Blackhawks winner!!! Andrew Shaw, with a very sweet shootout goal, while Emery says no soup for you, to Kesler.

Hawks just picked up Rick DiPietro on the waiver wire with 1 minute remaining. Season over. ...just kidding

Yeah, I agree. I check the NHL Yahoo scoreboard periodically, then when it reaches < 10 minutes to go..........I turn on the radio.

The use "insity?" Isn't that a five-minute major?

Tied 2-2 going into OT. Undefeated after 19 games to open season. NHL record is an amazing 35 games (10 ties) by the 1979-1980 Philadelphia Flyers. (Edit: Hawks win 3-2 in OT.)

That 79-80 Flyers team lost in the finals to the Islanders. Nystrom from Tonelli . Blackhawks might be peaking too early.

Congratulations to the Hawks It seems like just yesterday I saw one of my first Islander games, and I believe it was Jim Pappin who got a hat trick to beat the Isles. Out of the original six teams, the Black Hawks will always be my favorite Lets hope they dont peak too soon and burn out in this 48 game schedule.

Luc, are you getting a little hockey fever. I hope so because these guys are onto something special. Keep the injury bug away during this short season and get to the playoffs. My butt will be at every home playoff game hoping for another 2010 run at the Cup. Unlike the past two seasons out in the first round. This team playing very well in the defensive zone and goaltending has been stellar. GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slightly off topic....but I wonder if any older Hawk Fans remember the clock at the old Chicago Stadium? I can remember watching my first games as a kid against the Rangers, and as the game got close to the end, even the NY Ranger announcers Jim Gordon and Bill Chadwick couldnt tell anyone how much time was left
