Have any of you guys placed down a wager? I saw a few value horses. Verrazano closed at 11-1. To be honest, if he makes it to the gate and runs like he has...11-1 will be a steal as far as value. I know he's only a N1X winner but the talent is sick. The lack of "Derby Points" keeps his odds good. I didn't play him. However, I did place a wager on WILL TAKE CHARGE @ 61-1. Put $20 on it. He has points and is pointing to the Southwest at OP. I played him in the Smarty Jones last month. I really like his breeding and he's a big striding colt who should relish 1 1/4. He was 6-wide in the first turn in that race and still won. Another who looked strong in that race was ALWAYS IN A TIZ. His gallop out was really nice.

In pool 2, I will have a wager on TIZ THE TRUTH. While others are looking at FLASHBACK as Bafferts big horse, I think Tiz the Truth is the better Derby Prospect.

Itsmyluckyday has back-to-back monster races at GP and since he loves the track, he should get enough points to start in the derby assuming he hits the board in the FOY & Fla Derby. He closed at 13-1 but maybe he just loves GP. He has a lot of starts. I took a stand against.

Oddly enough I took a flyer on the horse those two beat in the Remsen.....Delhomme.....Being by Dixie Union 1 1/4 doesnt seem to be in his wheelhouse......But his Saratoga debut was as good a race as I have seen from a talent standpoint......Hopefully he grew up a lot because he was really green.....
