Anyone know what the Illinois January 2013 Handle Numbers were? If so, what is the comparison with 2012 when there was legal ADW.

It has to be way down.  I made wagers everyday.  Now one weekend day.  I had to make major scheduling adjustments to play rainbow 6 on wed and will probably do the same this wed when gulfstream is the only game in town.

The only thing I could find on the IRB site is Brick & Mortar OTB locations, not ADW wagers.

OTB handle virtually unchanged:
Jan 2013 - 36,152,047.90
Jan 2012 - 35,664,399.00

Are ADW figures released anywhere?

Thanks, interesting figures.

--So despite there being no ADW wagering for half a month Increase at OTB/IDW was around 1%
-- Hawthorne incentive to get people back was to give them a free simulcast program or from
-- Arlington had no incentives that I know of. They did piss off the bigger Twinspire.com bettors by not offering them rebates they got online... in fact they offered them nothing... if anybody knows anything different please PM me... Lets see what the AP clowns have to say about this on their OTB tour...

They'll say it was all the horsemen's fault in the first place, and they couldn't afford incentives because the IRB gave all the simulcast money to Hawthorne.

$8.7M = ~$261,000 impact on the purse accounts of all tracks and breeds.

They officially didn't merge the platforms until 2012....TS has such great IT people, it is taken them a year to figure out how to do deposits and withdrawls on their machines in Illinois, does that surprise you?

Actually, it was because the IT people from Youbet didn't want to move from California to Louisville, and the YB platform was very complicated, which as you can see TS still doesn't have it right when they tried to merge them. Its bulky to the eyes now, although functional.

I just thought the merge happened in like 2009 or 2010...

It would be just like AP to get their tote system updated just in time for TS to be shut down by the state.

You can deposit and withdraw from arlington and their otbs.   It has to be done through a teller.  It takes an extra five minutes vs the machine.

Stan the Electrician got called away on emergency duty to Louisville to wire up the new Caligula Suites at the track. Don't blame him if corporate management won't hire more than one guy to do everything.

Ed -- before the machine switchover, we were able to do that.  Once they switched them, the ability to do it was disabled.

Last year, it was... "after CD's meet was completed" , then "AP's meet", then "the CD fall meet", now "the FG meet"...the excuses keep coming.

Scav -- According to the spreadsheet on the IRB site, the last bet taken from the YouBet platform was August 26, 2012.
