My guess is the bottom end purses (5 and 10k claimers) will be higher there then at AP.

The letter that came with the book says their purses have doubled since the 2011 season thanks to the revenue deal with the casino. I can recall when MSW there was just $18k.

Geez I haven't been licensed in Minnesota for 4 or 5 years, and they're still sending out condition books and stall app forms.

Amazing what can happen when you've got a legal card room as well as payoff money from the local casino. Look at what casino payoff money did for Illinois purses the past couple years.

a) It just came in the mail to me today. Since I don't own horses anymore, I don't otherwise spend time looking at The Condition Books of Our Land.
b) I haven't seen any previous mention of it here have you?

How do you mean too late? Canterbury doesn't open until May. It's more of an Arlington alternative than a Hawthorne alternative.

i like you terry havent been licensed up there in bout 5 years but have recieved mail from them twice this year so far most recently the condition book. its a nice little track to enjoy the races at at night time solely imo, during the day it looks like sh1t. usually get nice crowds out there at night(mostly drinking and 2 dollar better types) and if youre a "younger"( early 30's still young? lol) guy like me youll appreciate the surprising amount of nice scenery attending the races there, i was surprised overall how many good looking girls there are up there. despite being 7.5 hours north the weather is just as hot up there in the summer so dont expect to get a break from the heat. hopefully this year they change the amount of turf sprints they write, rarely do you see a race on the lawn there under 7 panels. track announcer paul allen is on of the best in the biz imo

I like it there. One of the friendliest tracks in America starting with top mgt. Great food and beverage selection, too. Not to mention lots of very nice payoffs.
