Keystone Ore and Stanley Dancer from Oct 1987 Hoof Beats

The earliest reference that have to Fermer Perry (aka Fred) is the following.
This is the only pic I've of Mr. Perry and unfortuately it's crap for quality.

from Jun 1, 1955 Harness Horse and Rosecroft

Knight Partrol Presentation
Text read:
Knight Patrol 2, 2:072/5 winner of the $17,280 W. E. Miller Memorial Two‑Year‑Old Pace on Friday, May 27 at Rosecroft Raceway. Mrs. Alice V. Miller, widow of the late Raceway President, presents the trophy to owner Fred Perry and driver Del Miller. The Knight Dream Maxine Abbe colt in addition to being the season's champion is the top juvenile money winner with $10,029 to date.
end of quote

Mr. Perry owned both Knight Patrol and Reed's Knight in the same year, among others.
Over the years, he had more than a few good horses.

FWIW, I don't have any references to the origin of Isle of Wight's name (Herve may know), however they are multiple Isle of Wight's.
Canada, UK and I even saw a reference to some yacht race that sails around the Isle.

Keystone Ore was a decent sire whose offspring were generally poor mudders.

Can't know what went in to the owner's mind who named Isle of Wight, but the island in the English Channel is the basis for all other references.
