What he did today on Basmati was criminal. His ride on Handsome Mike yesterday wasnt any better. He's ok in cheap races, but the big time, not polished enough. He seems to have forgotten his fantastic rides on I'll Have Another, that jock has been MIA recently.

What are you talking about???  The guy rode 39 mounts at Hastings all year in 2012 - just two before August 29.


His stock went south well before that.


Gutierrez won 3 races between the Preakness and the start of July.   (an $8000 claimer and two maiden races)

Jstuff and Truss are right on. HRTV mentioned trainers' not giving him mounts during a post parade.The on air personality suggested he left California.I don't recall who (rr will call in fashion bibliography police)?Just the facts maam.

His stock had already waned by the time he went back to Hastings for any significant time, and he knew it.

Another brutal ride on bio pro.  Rail is out 30 feet which favors speed.  Ran first quarter in 22 for a 1 1/8 race.  Got caught at the end.  This was maybe 7th time this meet hes rode this way and got nipped.

Maybe Mario isn't that good with horses that are front running then.
