Singling's tough. So many things that can go wrong.

Hope you made some hay on those two $25 horses otherwise.

I had $8 WPS on the Mott winner.

Right now its a fabulous bet......You really need 3 or 4 $50 horses to take it down though......So if you are shooting for the pool you probably need to play a $500 ticket.......The good thing is guys are buying 3 or 4 races and playing $3000 tickets......When they spread like that it makes the winners pay so good......Not only because they are putting so much into the pool......its because they will only hit it once.......when a guy plays a $3000 ticket and hits it once that means he has lost on 29,999 combos......unlike a P4 where they spread but can hit it multiple times

Thinking about going over to FP Wednesday morning and playing this. Right now I'm looking at a ticket like this:

R5: 1 3 4 5 8 9 10 12 (13 if draws in)
R6: 3 4 5
R7: 3 4 9 11
R8: 4
R9: All
R10: 2 7

$172.80

Subject to change of course...but that was my first pass through. Flame away, please. I welcome all input.

Edit: I would really like to be able to use the 9 in R8, but I can't justify a $345 ticket. So unless I can get to a single in the 10th I'm not sure how I can cover it. There are only 2 horses in the 9th that I wouldn't want to use, and one of them is the favorite. So I think all makes sense there. HELP!

I have a friend who plays these multiple times because its ten cents and he bets big.  This is not the wager to do this because theres no way to prove you were the one winner if it hits.  Am i correct? When the pick six wager hit multiple times at the arlington breeders cup, steve crist said no one plays the pick six multiple times.  My friend does.  Everything is 5 times for him.  Its either ocd or he wants most of the pool?

Right. Even if he could prove he had all the winning tickets there would be multiple winning tickets and the jackpot wouldn't pay out. There has to be only one winning ticket. I'm not sure what the rules would be if he made his ticket a 50c ticket instead of 10c.

If he's trying to win the daily conso and avoid a taxable payout amount, maybe.

That last race IMO is an ALL button. The only horse who looks decent is the #12 and he is no single. I believe Chad Brown's horse is a class standout in r9 and take another look at r7, I think you are overlooking a horse that I believe will run huge and plan to build all my bets around today, including the P6

I agree the last race is an all...but I had gone deep in two others already. I also like Brown's horse in race 9...it was my top selection. Just looks like a tough race. But I guess I could go deeper in the last if I condense race 9. I'm assuming in the 7th you're talking about the 10? My concern is it looks like something might be seriously wrong with this horse.

Edit: If I eliminate the 3 and 4 and add the 10 in race 7, and only go two deep in race 9, I can cover race 10 and be at the same price ticket.

Good luck to all.  I hope you win. hrtv brings winner on tv. Gulfstream usually also throws in a vip trip.

It's actually the #2 in r7. Trainer has two in, including the favorite. He owns this 4 year old who I believe will run a career best race today 3rd off the bench. Looks like a small  drop in class for him too.

Dammit. #2 was my last hose I threw out of that race. Now you've got me second guessing this whole thing.

I think the trainer has the favorite in as a decoy. He is 7 years old, backed up at 4/5 last out and does not have a win in the form at this class level and cheaper, actually he has not even threatened. He has some high beyers for the level so he will get a ton of action. I'll pass.

If you were to use two others in that race would it be 10 and 11?

I agree on the 10, as I said earlier. Maybe just use two and get myself a little more coverage in the 9th. I think I've decided what I'm doing.
