Two Oklahoma trainers have been suspended 20 years for demorphin positives. Plus some pretty large $$ penalties.

Yet more proof that authorities across the nation are getting tough as a group with the long, meaningful suspensions, and it's not all a one man witch hunt.

Glad to see some kind of action being taken against the violators. I'm not so certain they wont just hire a beard and conduct business as usual   thumbs down dunno

Big on cleaning up that all-popular Quarter Horse game, are ya?

:::yawn:::

Wake me up when some THOROUGHBRED trainer other than Dutrow gets the screws put to him...since the t-bred game is so filthy dirty and drugged up.

The suspension of quarter horse trainers is just as important to quarter horse racing as the suspension of Dutrow, O'Neill, Asmussen, etc., is to tbred racing.

Sorry but your phony little construct of "but they're not NYRA trainers!" just doesn't cut it. The only person to whom that limp distinction matters is you.

 doh

We've already listed several of the Louisiana tbred trainers that also got the 10 year sentences. But oh, wait, those don't count because they raced at places like Evangeline, right?  Roll Eyes

So...the t-bred game is *squeaky clean* in NY, Fla., Ky., and California?

No significant busts in any of those places since Dutrow took the pipe?

How is this possible, if the t-bred game is SO filthy?

Obviously not, judging by the big timeouts that have been given to trainers like Assmussen, etc., over the years.

Where does SO filthy come from?

But as to how it's possible no one else has yet got what Dutrow did ... perhaps no one else is so dumb as to get caught so many times?

Maybe math isn't your strong suit, but where I grew up, 60 days is one helluva lot less than 10 years. "Big timeouts", please.

AYFKM? Ask anyone here if they believe the t-bred game is clean.

Ahh, I see. The game will be better when only the *smart* cheaters are left.

Who said anything about 60 days? The last big timeout Asmussen got was six months, I think. The cobra venom guy got a pretty long stint, too. The frog juice guys in Louisiana got 10 years.

No one said it was. But you're the one who made up "SO filthy". There's plenty of middle ground between the two.

If they're not getting caught, it's hard to say one way or another if anyone is cheating, isn't it? But Dutrow was getting caught on a regular basis, for little stuff, big stuff, dumb stuff, cheaty stuff, and "rules don't apply to me" stuff. Other guys either aren't cheating or are careful enough not to exceed the limits and get caught doing whatever they MIGHT be doing. Either way you look at it, Dutrow's issues are his own fault. It's not someone else's doing, it's his own doing.

I think that one of the guys they took down 10 years in New Mexico was one of the top trainers in all QH racing, too.
