The way I understand it, current purse structures were based on revenue from the 3%, handle AND ADW.  So if there is no progress on the ADW, I wonder how long it will be until purses will suffer.  It seems like the State is out to destroy racing.

I don't bet online anymore, but still receive regular communications from online gaming sites==so they are up and running in Illinois.  I just don't get it.

I think the purses that will suffer worst are Fairmount's due to the loss of TVG.

TVGs portion of contribution to our purses is around 700k per year. Our purses for the meet totals close to 3 mil. So Im considering if you take almost a third of the purse money (ADW/TVG) the most certainly will expect a big cut in purses if something doesnt transpire

I haven't been yet but am beginning to feel that gamblin' jones for an exciting afternoon of just missing on the finest low level claimers from Tampa Bay Downs, followed by making my money back at Santa Anita.

Or how about the other angle of when you cash a winner at FG early on a horse you liked since  Thursday and later you find yourself betting twice as much on a horse in the last at GG in a maiden 8k cause R.Baze is on it .Can't beat the fun on a Sat. afternoon !

well i think they lost as much as they were making the first weekend.

it became a routine, a way to spend the afternoon in you home, with whom you wanted, or alone if you wanted focus more. you can smoke drink eat anything ..you can run to the store between bad races, make coffee, washing laundry is always good as you play the adw.

so you take the routine away,
and the revenues are gone the first week as we all try to remember the old routine.
and we realize how much more simpler it is to have an ADW account...
this is garbage, and election day for those who bother, you may want o regard this as an issue in the booth.

i would think the second weekend they got 40 -50 % of the adw at the OTB.

within amonth, the routines will re emerge for maybe 80% of the folks i would guess.

i dont have the dollars involved , and am not that motivated to google or find the dollars , but the logic behind the percentages i suggest, mutiplied by the dollars should be about right regarding an amount.
