so there is no ADW..wow... head shake

this is not good.

Once Upon A Time in Chciago I might  go to McDonalds everyday, perhaps every third day or so, to gets some french fries as many , many people do. They are probably not the best food to eat, but they are tasty and you enjoy the time it takes to get them and relax having them maybe even accompany a meal. When I go,I have found its best to plan  route home to find just the right store the one that may be a bit out of the way, but the staff is nice and the food is always good and freshly cook.
Nothing like a crisp freshly cooked French fry.
Then one day while in the best of moods I found my self in route to get some of these fries for a snack with maybe another bit of something,
I thought on the way there, Huh
what would be the best value for the money ?,
before the fries // fries // after the fries,
I had singled the fires as the 2nd leg of the menu.
So I got to the restaurant having made my choice to accompany the fries in the meal on the way , itís always a routine each Saturday which I have followed for about 2 years, it began as a test approach to the day.

So around 2 weeks ago I approached and placed my order with the clerk. But because I was from Illinois, I couldnít order fries anymore because they were not deemed to be a safe food as part of a law that hadnít yet been renewed removing them from a list of foods exempt from hazardous consumable foods.
Sadly, .. poor baby...I had to go home without the fires.
I havenít been able to follow the same joyous routine now for  quite a few weekends, and it is little satisfying to drive the same path without the ability to form horizontal and vertical food combinations as I go over the menu in my mind as I venture through the routine each Saturday morning.

ya know this is crap..

you have a routine you have followed  since the ADW laws were passed,
its primarily all electric ..all onine ..PP's are online, PDF viewers read them, excel sheets and programs crunch numbers,

you see the payout grids at the web sites, you get the odds  right there on your computer while you have the races on your tv..all good..people stop by, pizza, its all good, another nice day for everyone.

then tis not legal anymore..

sooo

we're having so much fun they made it illegal now ??

help me out with this

I drive to the Oakbrook OTB, walk in, punch my tickets, leave and drive home. 10 minutes to get there, 15 to get home. I tried sitting in there the first time I went and only made it an hour.

Went to Trackside yesterday. Nothing has changed. The 2nd floor is still a combination of a psych ward and an elderly day care center. Watched 1 race and had enough. Placed the rest of the days wagers and went home to watch on the computer.

what about scratches and the weather ? if it rains heavy where you bet, your ticket is not the best it could be ..

thats the poitive of the adw, if you dont want to sit in the otb for a while.

I enjoy playing the horses from home more than anything else I do.  I guess I will have to go to the otb.  I have very poor choices...Aurora..Rockford...Arlington Park seems to be the best choice.  I have refrained up to this point.  Its time to find a source outside the USA...this is typical Illinois nonsense..

secretariat, another right wing nut job, what did my comment have to do with politics?  I simply stated that I'm saving money by not wagering online.

It is a nice place...just a little dark.  The carousels have lights but they can be spotty.

I dont know if you are in between aurora and rockford?  There's not an otb in dekalb?  Im in between the triangle of stanleys, nicolinos, and saddle room.  Although I have to be in rockford area often.  Yesterday I went there and sat upstairs for first time.  It was well lit, had many tvs, a bar, and at least four machines.  The tellers there are the best.
