Ya know, you like this when you're sitting the pocket and the leader is done, but if you need the sweeper, this stuff can stick in your craw. Harness racing has a perception problem, i dont know if guys should be 'auto releasing' the pocket horse, or, do you think that tiring guys should get out of the way and let the guys with pace up the pylons?

auto-release should be an auto-suspension for driver of tiring front running horse

I have to agree with this, the track needs to fine and suspend auto releasing drivers. The track needs to step in here and say 'no auto releasing' because when you auto release, its completely random on who, what, when and where a horse gets auto released.

Its essentially race fixing as you're driving your mount to specifically help out another driver.
