Indiana casinos out to screw state and horsemen

There's a bill floating around the Indiana legislature right now that would allow tables games at the tracks and allow the boats to move to dry land, but would also seriously cut the amount of taxes going to the State and the horse racing industry, as much as $230 million out of State coffers over 2 years, and "Local governments, horse breed funds and the Indiana Economic Development Corp. would lose a combined $9.8 million to $18.5 million in the same period, estimates show."

It's always the same. The casino pushers come to town promising all sorts of wonderful things and big bucks flowing to the State, and as soon as they've got their foot in the door they're trying to weasel out on license fees or taxes or something. Every. Single. Time.

So much for "the good of the children", Indiana suckers.

now tolls are liek2 bucks in places..

and remember our personal income tax rate is supposed to decline in a few years the 5% is just a temp rate..
