Shouldn't you wait and see who your horse is in against ? He might be outstanding but maybe hes in with some killers too. Just asking ?  Good Luck, I hope you win. I will watch Yonkers this Monday.

Cliffy, your eyesight & foresight must be much better than mine.  I do not see what you saw.  Looked like Pierce was quite a distance from Arts Ideal & that the horse got rough.  I don't know what the horse's form looks like but you certainly should get a price with Bouchard.  Good luck.

Okay.  These are the times when I wish we could watch this kind of replay together.  I know you're a sharp guy.  I'm just not seeing what you saw.  I do wish you luck though.  thumbs up

Dolfan,

I believe the comment was regarding the 1/11 trip, not the 1/18 trip.

And if you watch the 1/11 trip, I'm not sure we see the same thing either.  The horse was fumbling in the slop all on his own, IMO.

Last week he most certainly was garbage all on his own.

Yes, I only watched the 1/11 trip.  fumbling in the slop was my thought too, although I used the term "rough".  I didn't watch the 1/18 because I didn't see what Cliffy saw so no reason.  Cliffy certainly deserves a good price if this works out.

You mean to say that he was entered in another race between Jan 11 and Jan 28. How did he finish in that race?

I checked and he was entered on 1/18 in the 11th race with post position 7 and he ran flat and was 6th by 5 lengths at 16.90-1 with Stephane Bouchard in the sulky.

Wonder what is Cliffy's excuse for the horse in this race.

Horse has a problem with staying flat even in his prevous qualifiers and your going to say he shy'ed away from whip. PT Barnum was right.

Will try & dig up the race Cliffy but wondering if Pierce hit the board...

I have seen horses taken down at AP when the jock hits a horse inadvertetly with the whip

I will pull for your horse, Cliffy, if for no other reason than you put yourself out on a limb, opening your handicapping opinions to others who may criticize you if the horse races poorly.

What rubbish. I thought you said you did your homework.

His last race on Jan 18 was at the BigM and not Yonkers.

Hey its your money. You can bet whatever horse you want to. I do hope he wins.

I personally wouldn't touch him in view of his poor last race effort though.

Dolfan. Nobody on the board wants Cliffy to lose. I am sure of that. He asked for opinions and he got them fair and square, If the horse loses I for one won't be ragging him for that and say 'I told you so'.

Good luck Cliffy.
