I thought #2 Alequash Hotspur came off the rail clean and with plenty of clearance. I don't think he should have been disqualified. Am I wrong ?

Me too. Nice win play. Thats why I was asking. The horse they said was impeded was doing the exorcist with his head way before the #2 attempted to move.

The judges do the best they can !!! So does the quarter back that throws 4 interceptions a game and the guy that strikes out 4 times every game.

Didn't think the #2 interfered until I watched the replays . Very clear on one of the angles.

I wonder if oo was driving the 2 and Timmy c was driving the 10 if the outcome would have been different. Also I have seen much worse stay up in Chicago. Zero consistency

I've heard 00's horse was locked on a line and he yelled at Curtin to come out and tha's what he told the stewards.

Bowserkat's explanation seems to jive with what I witnessed. Mike's horse was the one that went back to the paddock shortly before the start of the race and he did look locked up a bit from the word go. I'm not sure I would have DQ'd him unless I was invoking a general safety standard and required all moves to have more clearance, but then I would be tossing lots of people and John Roberts would never drive.
