Boring when your team's not in !!! Damn straight. When your team is out, the only people who care are degenerate gamblers and drunks looking for an excuse to get so drunk that they don't remember the game anyway. The Super Bowl is the single most gambled-upon sporting event in the world. Nothing is close -- hence the enormous popularity.

Think that applies to the NFL on a weekly basis. But for gambling, wonder how popular the game would be ??

How many millions watch "Reality TV" shows? The NFL is the ultimate reality tv show. I stopped betting football 20 years ago & do not drink. I never miss a game. BTW, Ravens will win the SB.

Would have to agree with you. Team of destiny. I know previous games should not matter but Ravens went into Frisco and manhandled them. Now fully healthy, well. Should be a good one.

I don't think it will be a close game. MOST of SF's games have not been close. I'm going with 30-17, Baltimore. If it is a close game, Baltimore certainly has the more consistent kicker. That 5 point line will go down, closer to 3 before all is said & done.

Let's see if the news media's poster child Ray Lewis can escape this super bowl without murder charges being filed.

Just my personal opinion:
Lewis hung with the wrong crowd & he was in the wrong place. He got very nervous & made the decision that he was going to protect some people that maybe he shouldn't have.
But he was never even on trial so there was not enough evidence to do anything serious to him except ruin his name, reputation & career. So he agreed to give them some info & plea to a minor offense that won't destroy him.
And then the guy turns to a Higher Power & rehabilitates himself, becomes a very charitable person with his time & money. And so that's why I root for him, as do many others. He's not an OJ, he's not a Kobe.

I often wondered where his dance and uncontrollable outbursts arrived from, now I know,a higher power. Once a ghetto thug always one no matter how "they" spin it. Only in this country can someone so deplorable be so revered. I can only hope the 9ers hand him his ass.

Yes Dolfan your right on, Rays a changed man. No more clubbing/partying etc., a real family man who loves and supports his children. He does more charity work around Baltimore than you can imagine. I don't necessarily need to hear all his talk about Gods plans, i kind of like to think that God doesn't care about football when children die of horrible cancers everyday but hey at least he's not hurting people. On another note Flacco was outstanding the second half and the defense t Brady to short passes, took away all long balls. Against Denver the rookie Pierce didn't have but 3 plays because of a knee injury and was hurting yesterday too but that guy is gonna be some kind of special if he stays healthy. He's been the leading rusher for the last 4 or 5 games, since Caldwell took over...

Welker's drop in the 3rd 1/4 was HUGE, I thought. It was NE's chance to grab a cushy lead. Blown opportunity at the end of the 1st 1/2 hurt but not a killer. Welker's drop though - big! I didn't see any Ravens dropping passes. Pitta gets pounded, gets up & then catches a TD pass. Boldin is such a prime time player. Injury to Talib was key too.
