Barnard has 4 winners and Ira is not in the winners circle. Is there a MIA alert? Anybody know his whereabouts?

Nu-Monia is slang for 'new money'.

U got that right Ed Bad sign if you are sick prior to wedding....usually that comes a few years after marriage... At least for the honey moon, they can pull up the cinder blocks & drive...save on air fare

Did he get sick before or after they asked him to sign a contract which would banish him from the grandstand?

I've said it countless times, he's a guy doing the hardest thing possible in gambling, beating horses consistently, if there was a hero vote on this site I'd have to consider the guy, listen I'd love to live at the track but I can't, I'm not good enough, I rarely last the entire card (betting every 3 min doesnt help), lets be honest if we could live at the track and make good $ wouldn't we? Idk the guys finances, b4 P5 doesn't sound like he made a killing prob around average US salary give or take, but, he's been doing something he loves for god knows how long.. I think the only reason ppl like us (degens) leave the track is so we can pay our bills and get more $ to fire at the windows. Ira doesn't have to leave! I think the Ira Smolin costume would be a big seller for halloween. I am thinking Ira Smolin mask with driving colors & a whip would look authentic Culvers cup taped to the arm & a bunch of money like the Geiko motorcycle commercial.. Maybe a few cell phones taped to the colors as well...... Pace think I should copyright this?

He doesnt have a good feel for whos gonna win!! Id say hes got 15% winners ! I loved it when he left town. Less to deal with. I never came on here to fight.just wanted to talk racing.now i am the subject of hate on all the sites thats not right

Yea but to be authentic you'd have to get 1 of those old phones that are the size of a cinder block, idk why but I just envision him talking on 1 of those things

Don't bother answering these idiots IRA, I learned along time ago that for every good tip i got there were 10 to 20 that were complete busts. All I want to know is if the horse is good or bad, don't tell me you can win or hit the ticket. I'll decide that.

There was a driver in Delaware a few weeks ago that was texting during warm ups and if the guy driving the water truck wasnt paying attention he would have crashed right into him

Its nuts I think the worst is "kids" my age texting and driving, which I confess I do pretty much everytime I get in the car, also do some reading while driving so needless to say google while driving.. I can say that I no longer drive "harness style" (shoe string tied to 10 & 2 on steering wheel, slim Jim jerky as my whip), strings got tied up and I almost crashed, veered off road n both front right n back right wheels were over curb lol.. So I guess while I've eliminated one unsafe practice I continue in the phone stuff.. You know those "don't text and drive" commercials? I've always hoped that Verizon or apple flips the script n put out a commercial "I got injured while driving/texting. I am now in a wheelchair and cannot walk. Thankfully, I now have all the free time to play on my Droid!! It's got angry birds! Weather app! Pong! Trading my legs for unlimited time with my Droid was the best thing that's ever happened to me! Thanks Droid!"

Ruining the man's dinner is strictly out of bounds. It's my opinion that's where they should draw the line. The man seems like a decent sort from what I have read here. How would you folks like to receive texts all day long just because you were lucky enough to hit a pick 5 ? This entire thing reeks of jealously.I dont know Mr Smolin at all, but the attacks have been vicious and uncalled for. Personally, I am glad he caught that number. The haters should be ashamed of themselves. Let the man enjoy a hot meal. Text him during American Idol-- if you have to be such morons. Better yet, just let the man enjoy his winning in peace

Driving harness style? 100% true, actually pretty enjoyable, u can't make right or left turns but u can easily change lanes, stay straight ahead, etc, would really get after em too (slashing leg w/ slim Jim while accelerating). As long as you don't get your "lines" tangled up its a great way to travel!

Despite constant attacks, both light hearted weight jokes and vicious venomous attacks on character, I don't think I've ever seen Ira lash out at anyone despite having many justifiable reasons to do so. Just a nice ol' guy who loves the game. That's all!
