I was told by verifiable sources from the backside that one of his horses died last week and was sent out for an autopsy in order to ascertain the cause of death. Obviously everyone is hoping that it has nothing to do with the virus. Until the results come back it is my understanding he will not be running any of his stock. I do not know when the test results should be back but I assume the very first part of this week. Lets all hope that the cause of death has nothing to do with the virus or its gonna get really ugly for the horsemen on the backside. From what I understand there are only about 1300 horses currently stabled at Hawthorne and clearly another outbreak would be a major setback to the spring meet.

He had several entered on Friday's card, but it seems they all were scratched. Interesting; ominous?

If its the horse that I heard about, test results came back negative on Friday. Let's see when entries come out today if he has anything infor Friday.

I don't think there is anything to lead into Arlington. There are no sick horses on the backside and the dead horse tested negative. Unless this was a different horse, of course.

The three that are entered are not Midwest's horses?

I have no insight into their situation but it's possible Midwest doesn't want their horses running on that track right now. It's hard as a rock.
