When album's are cut, there's usually not enough good material, so fillers are added !!
Difficult to find one complete with hit's !!!!
Let's get back on topic !!
What about "Eat A Peach" ??
I personally enjoy every song on that one !!!!!!!!!

Mountain Jam too damn long. I hate having to take one record off the turntable and put on another to hear the end of a song! What a buzz killer.

How about all three original Buffalo Springfield studio albums? Not really a rotten song on any of the six sides, and so many classics.

I've been digitizing some vinyl, and I have identified 4 candidates for NOT the best ever ... the four original Tyrannosaurus Rex LP's. (pre T. Tex)

Man ... some of that is almost painful. What were them damn hippies thinkin'?  screwy

Though, Unicorn does have its moments.

Some of the greatest albums had a theme or direction the songs took you, the "concept album" as it was called. I love the concept albums of the 70's and 80's.

Concept albums:
Styx's - Kilroy Was Here
Pink Floyd -The Wall, Dark Side Of The Moon
The Alan Parsons Project I Robot ( very cool imo)
Rush -2112
The Who - Quadrophenia, Tommy
Genesis - Duke (listened too many times but love it)
Moody Blues - On the Threshold of a Dream
Eagles- Hotel California
Jethro Tull- Thick as a Brick
etc.

As far as new stuff, i can listen to the first two Coldplay albums all the way through, Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head. Then things went pop...

But you leave out the greatest concept album of them all, Frank Zappa's magnificent Joe's Garage trilogy?

(Another famous Joe, by the way.)

Ha i like Zappa but in small doses. I left out a ton, my memories impaired. Concept albums could be a separate thread.

I listened to that Cars album a few hundred times as a kid, still have it today.
