Black lab = most popular dog in America also omitted.

I'm voting "poodle" as a protest vote.  flag

German or English pointer?

Had many of them. Is a nice breed.

I always wanted a Beagle too but haven't yet.

She is an English Pointer .  We rescued her after our other rescue pointer died suddenly. She is 1 year old
and a smart dog. The Beagle is 7 and is set in her ways. They love chasing squirells and chipmonks.

Gotta give honorable mention to my neighbors Ovcharka

"Historically, the Caucasian Molossers were used for centuries to protect properties, guard livestock, kill wolves, and hunt bears."

Average weight= 155 lbs

The fkn thing almost bit my hand off once! Note to all, when going to pet an Ovcharka, 1, go w/ your off hand, I made mistake of extending right hand, if you're gonna lose a hand it's much better to go with the off hand. Rule # 2, don't try to pet an Ovcharka that isn't yours!

"Historically, the Caucasian Molossers were used for centuries to protect properties, guard livestock, kill wolves, and hunt bears."

They outlawed using dogs in hunts in California.

Wish the rest of the states would follow suit.

I like them all except the mean ones. A beagle mix will love you like no other imo. Rescues too. The bigger question is what kind of person doesn't like dogs other than those who had some bad experience when they were young. I mean when a person tells me they don't like dogs i know there's something fundamentally wrong and they are not to be trusted.

Can anyone tell an idiot like me how to post pictures on here, just captured photo of my beloved golden "flirting" w/ neighbors Ovcharka, she weigh 90 lbs n looks like an ant next to this freakin thing.. It's funny, was standing in garage smoking a cigarette n tossing hard candy down driveway to give my dog a little stimulation when she starts barking, now, I can't see down the road from where I'm at so I'm concerned she's barking at some little kid or small dog n she's gonna run up to them (she barks n seems mean but when she get close she runs against you n sniff your dogs ass, standard friendly behavior). However, when I see its the Ovcharka it immediately switches to "OMG, my dogs about to be swallowed whole". So she's barking like crazy but amazingly it doesn't rile up Ovcharka in the least, his tails wagging, sniffing, seems really friendly.. Then I look the dog in the eye and immediately his whole demeanor changes, starts growling at me.. I avert gaze, Ovcharka goes back to dog flirting with mine, seems really cute, I say "it's ok rocky, good boy" and he instantly turns back into this snarling beast. You guys gotta see this thing, how do I post picture?

In 1993, we adopted our first retired-from-racing Greyhound, our second in 1994, our third in 2001 and our fourth in 2003. We lived with Greyhounds for 18 years and they are, without a doubt, our favorite breed. People think they are hyper and high strung because they are fast but they are the opposite of that. They are laid back and, in fact, lazy. They're known as "45 mph couch potatoes" and they sleep 16 hours per day on average. While awake, they are playful and enjoy going for walks. They are very intelligent and are naturally sweet, gentle and very affectionate. Because they have more muscle than fat, they cannot tolerate extremes in cold or heat. Our fourth passed away in 2011 and we don't plan to adopt more. It's so difficult to lose them. Because of their age when available for adoption, you will have them on average about 8 years. We are still involved with a rescue group who brings them to the Midwest from the South for adoption after their racing careers are done.
