The posters here that attack Shorty never have anything to say when another jock fails with a Block horse. Pretty damned cowardly, IMO.

I thought Leading Astray ran big first vs. older. Had no chance with that trip. Possible bet back next time.
Regarding EE Perez, this was neither here no there. Lezcano actually gave her an EE-type ride.

The horse had no chance with his running style. Gulfsteams turf course was very speed favoring. He's a definite play next time on a non-bias turf course.

This is a nice filly but she is an Il bred that has not won out of state! I agree with the relpys Would like to see her again away from the rail.

Ok, If you watch the Head on replay she broke from the 1 hole and broke toward the rail falling back to last in the first turn. With the Fractions not really quick she advanced on the rail down the back side with a steady hold by Lezcano. Coming off the Turn she advanced and was the only closer to close with very mild/slow fractions for that turf course. The ones that ran 1-2 layed 2nd and 3rd in the cat bird seat all the whole race until each jockey made his move. Keep in mind this Mare is bred to go and Mile and Quarter-Mile and Half. Her type of races are down the road later this racing season. I myself can't fault the ride? The Break is what cost her the race and the way she finished it should set her up for a big run in her next start where ever they decide to run her? Keep in mind she has never been worse than 3rd in 9 career starts?

Like many another Block turfnoid, she can peel off amazing closing fractions. Kicked home slightly under 23.1 in her first start, 4 wide home, on a course marked only "good"; beat IB nw2 with a kicker in 23, again 4 wide home.

Wha? She's a half-sister to Suntracer, 400K earner and multiple stakes winner.

Evidently you don't know her family. Full sister to a Multiple stakes winner & Graded stakes placed Corrupt, Free Fighter 3 time Graded stakes winner, Sun Tracer Graded stakes placed and Multiple stakes winner, Stumbling Block winner of over 300k and still running @ the age of ten. Yep she ran to her breeding

At worst she could stay in Illinois and run in three 100k races to supplement her earnings

5000 K sire decent pedigree for an Illinois bred. Point is the horse is not bred to be an open company grade 1 or II horse.

She has proven to compete and has won in open Company and was second with a rough trip in a Grade II. Bright Future for a filly that comes from a proven family. Point is her mother does nothing but, put out runners.

Paraskevas Block could bring these horses to Noo Yawk and kick arse with them.
In fact, I hope he does.
