Writer Bill Finley talks about the Apprentice category and it's future.

The last star to have gone on and have continued success is Paco Lopez in 2008 but he says its Joe Talamo in 2007.

I hope not!!!! I've noticed the Olympics and Presidential Election are only good every 4 years too. You don't think they'll cancel the Pro Bowl as well, do you?

I can't believe I'm even responding to this hot button issue, but the list from 2003 to 2008 is pretty damn impressive. And it's hard to say someone hasn't gone on to long term success when they are 1 or 2 years removed from winning the award.

Tommy Wallis was a disease.  Maretns faded quickly. Ward was never particulrly good, though he's better as a trainer. Eddie Castro is peripheral and Ariel Smith is just hanging on in NY.

"Irad Ortiz Jr. was an apprentice for one month in 2012 yet he's a finalist for Eclipse Award for leading apprentice?"
