They gave him time off all along. He raced once in Feb, once in Apr and once in Nov. And he raced twice each in May, July, Aug and Sept.

I think Dial or Nodial may have the edge. He's sharp, indise and gets D. Miller who is driving well.
This horse has done well. I never realized he's carded over $1.5MM
Pretty good.
Will Golden Receiver be ready?

Ectually, it seems like a race with a short-priced chalk on an open lead, and a bunch of no-chancers. I can see the case for Dial, but it seems a little thin after that.

Last year Golden Receiver finished up at Pocono in early November and two months later Sears measured off an easy win in this same invitational from the eight.

Special T Rocks new barn......1.51 flat qualifier. Could be anything. Not the greatest post Saturday, but this horse, if he improves at all, could be any type of horse this year. The others don't have the upside. This horse still has upside, which is scary.

Not a new barn they have raced this horse several times......true he went some big miles first up before they got him and may have needed his break but he wasnt worth a $.25 in the races the money pitters raced him.......and most of his races were against way less than this.......Ive been wrong 1,000 times but I dont figure him for a check and think they paid about 200k too much for him......time will tell I guess.......with the welfare out there even good race horses can bank major dollars eg. River Shark......If they spot him realistically before they break his heart they might get half their money back

If you take any stock into qualifer times (especially ones thrown out by this barn) then you just aren't paying attention.  This barn qualifies everything 500 mph and when race time comes they can't duplicate it.  I think they are thinking one day they are going to get paid for a qualifier.

Agree with Yim and Harnessfan Golden Reciever by open lengths and Specialty Rocks gets nothing.

In fairness, there do seem to be some good races on the card, but IMO, that's just not one of them.

Golden Receiver doesn’t mind that cold weather. He won in :48.4 tonight and last year he won four times in January: an invitational in :50, the first leg of the Presidential in :48, the second leg in :49.2 and the final in :49.1. I think the :48 win was the fastest mile ever paced in January.

They paid 360k for ST Rocks.....Now Im thinking maybe 300k too much instead of 200k......When Daryl first got him he had major trouble getting him to go and he finally figured a few things out and he still was the slow grinding type with no big speed.......He told them not to change anything on him and he said they changed almost everything......Maybe when they change things back he might get a little better but his heart will be broke by then if they keep racing him 5 classes over his head and leaving against horses like Golden Receiver......
